Where were you on the internets? (No links please).
I started off on a Transformers site called Transfans. The site would greet you with an audio line from the '86 movie - "I have summoned you here for a purpose!". I went there for various stuff and eventually joined the forums. Sometimes I would also post at Seibertron, in which I met MaxieAstrotrain who I would RP chat with - although it was mostly us trying to kill each other I think. Much like our chats! I think she was Austrailian, or from new Zeland.
I started my first board on Xsorbit, but the support for forums was next to none so I moved to ProBoards, eventually finding a TF ProBoards called Civil War. I also had my own Sci-fi proboard which ran for a year & a half before being deleted called The Last Outpost. I joined Civil war back in 2002, it'll always be one of the most important TF places I'll call home. It's where the Renegades were formed. The site is quite dead now, but It'll still always be special to me.b It was originally started as a TF discussion board, but the admin wanted to move the board - still to a Proboard, for the sake of not knowing how to change the colours. Overnight he deleted all the content in one blow, all the banter where Latryx7 (Jazz), HeavyAssault and I first met.
As the admin's username was Optimus Prime, and we rebelled to the idea of moving after what he did, Heavy yelled out "Renegade Autobots unite!" - or words similiar. That's how the Renegades were born. At first just a funny thing, but as the site had a new owner and turned into a roleplay board the idea of "Renegade" Autobots became a proper idea, a third fictional faction in the roleplay who took on both sides - Autobots & Decepticons. We kept to ourselves, planning, palming the two other sides against each other. Not that they needed much help as the camps were very dived within their factions, whereas we stuck together and didn't reveal out intentions.
I was also at a great TF site calle The Axalon, which is where I met some of our earliest members like Moffman and Sonicron. So when I started this place, it was Moffman who said "hey look what Hoist's made!", and atracted a nice group of friends over from there. I also went to Wreck n Rule (A conforum made by a transfans member) and of course TF @ The Moon.
So what about you?
