Whether you're a fan of Hasbro's Transformers animated cartoon Cyberverse or not, a series on YouTube generally aimed at a younger audience; the toys from them are a thing - and they're about to get a whole new upgrade! Each of the new figures will come with your straight forward figure converting from a vehicle or beast to robot, and will now come with a vehicle. The vehicle will snap apart and be able to be joined to said Transformer as their new "Spark armor", as seen above with Optimus Prime, Prowl and Bumblebee. The figure Skybyte will also come with a drill tank to give him cool armor. Jetfire and Starscream will also feature, with the elite class containing Megatron, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. Look for all the new armored-up figures to hit stores in August. The Battle Class line will retail at $14.99, the Elite Class at $24.99 and finally Optimus at $49.99. Source: kotaku.com/On a personal note, I really like the mini-ark for Optimus Prime and the combined form, which is 12 inches btw.

That Optimus does look pretty cool. I'm probably going to pass on the Cyberverse line, but from what I've seen of it already, it's a huge step up from the ludicrously simple RID line.

I don't really collect any more, but there's just something about the yellow armor from the Ark on what is quite a plain Optimus Prime figure that just looks really cool. Not sure what's going on with Prowl's face, he looks like he ate one to many Cybertronian pies!!
I get that the RID line was meant for a very young audience both the show and the toys, and that's absolutely fine, although the whole idea of the Transformers (Going back to the 80's) was that they were also like a puzzle to Transform! Still if it gets younger fans interested in the franchise it's all good.I get it.
