Picked up reissue G1 Swerve and Tailgate in Hong Kong, I don't usually buy remoulds if possible but both characters have surpassed the originals (Gears and Windcharger) in my eyes, thanks to IDW, so I had to get them!

*Pre-notice I haven't bought any in a good few years now. Do you think Transformer sizes have changed for the good or the better over the years? For example do deluxes seem smaller in the last several years (at least) but the prices have gone up? (Store dependent and also where and what country you live in of course!) Do you get as much for your money quality wise? (Plastic, articulation/joints) Be it deluxes, voyages or legions. I know the first sizes mentioned there might be dated but I feel older fans still relate to them by those, whether they're legions or "turbo chargers" or whatever they call the sizes these days. Compare say leaders or voyagers from the armada trilogy to any line today from the TF range, do they still hold up to the things mentioned? Including price?
I actually like smaller transformers as they don't take up as much room. But I think the plastic and paint apps have gone down hill at various points. The chewy gray and black matt plastics being the worst.
When you consider Alternators were 20 quid or as you say the large Armada toys were the same, now you can pick up two of those new tiny tiny titanmasters for the same price, and the paint apps on those are awful. Titanmaster Brawn for instance is one of the worst I have ever seen.
The articulation is better than in the past though. I would say in general the engineering and some of sculpting has also improved.

Uk comic version all the way for me. Getting smacked down by Galvatron but also kicking ass. The IDW version is an interesting take.
The DW brother nonesense is not for me. Even if it kind of works for the toy.

Sat in Hong Kong airport waiting for a 9 hour flight after a 11 hour flight zzzzzzz. They do sell TFs in the terminal though. They have the Walmart mini bots so I am tempted to get a swerve and tailgate.

I think Magnus touched it a few times when he was trying to claw it open in the movie haha. But he didn't have the touch so I don't think it counts.
Maybe bots are scared to poke it because of the power!

Cyclonus and Scourge. This relationship works because they both have to put up with Galvatron's madness. They properly wouldn't have anything to do with each other otherwise. Maybe I'm on to something here since one of them was actually a Seeker and the other an Insecticon before Unicron changed them. I've actually forgotten who was who in the debates. Cyclonus and Scourge were my favourite two G1 decepticons, especially in the comics when they kept messing up the timeline in the UK stories and pissing off various leaders. {G1 Marvel UK SPOILER - Click to view} I liked that Scourge was still tied to Cyclonus after he was killed and that he helped heal the time rift by taking his body through it. Prime and Scorponok had an interesting four way relationship with their binary bonded partners. I thought this and the psycological effects that the partners had on the Transformer hosts were the most interesting things to come out of the "masters" saga.
I think Inferno and Smokescreen kept popping up together too.
I love those comics so much, time to pick them back up I think!!

Action Force!! It was a good them tune. I played my one vhs to death as kid. One episode was about some synthetic clones and another to do with making a movie.
"International heroes, action force are there, in their underwear, ACTION FORCE! .....or something like that.
I want that jet and the APC though!

I was thinking of getting some sort of deep organiser boxes or modular toolboxes. Maybe a unit with organiser draws.
I only currently have a one shelf display too.

I would be happy to see a new bond, I was never really happy with the gritty direction taken with Casino Royale and have only seen Skyfall since. I preferred the early Brosnan films, Goldeneye is peak bond to me.
I'm not sure who though?

I need some ideas, I don't have many on display at the moment and am looking at some more structured storage. Rather than the big "bin o bots" strategy I used whilst I was away.
How do other people store theirs?

*Rolls up his metal sleeves*
Hey! That's a real low blow!
*Picks up a cherry topped muffin from the party platter*
See this muffin here well that's Moonbase 1, and the cherry, that's you and Cliffjumper!
*Hums "Unicron approaching" theme, opens his mouth and begins to devour the muffin*
