Saw it the other day and kept meaning to post about it.

I really hope we get this darker series,either way I'm now pumped up! I was worried they were going to let him keep his natural accent to be honest, especially the scene right after the regeneration. Many are expecting Davros after previous 16 sec/30 sec trailers, and with the Daleks for definite featuring, we might just get it.

A classic sci-fi taking on a darker tone? Gosh, we haven't seen aaaaany of that recently DX But in all seriousness, this looks kinda great- like the series might have a more singular driving plot. If I had one prevailing problem (among many) with the Matt Smith era, it was how convoluted the overall plot got :/ . Still, I have great faith in Capaldi- he's one of my favorite actors, and this plays right into his repetoire

So, back in November I decided to give Doctor Who a shot. My Dad had been watching the newest season on BBC America, and I know many of you watch it, so I decided to give it a try. I always had a preconception that it was really corny sci-fi and that there was no good reason to like it. Man, was I wrong.

So, I started with the 9th Doctor as it is the simplest jumping on point, and have now watched all the way up through the Matt Smith seasons. The only things standing in my way of the new season is the 2 'of the Doctor' specials, which I will knock out here in the next few weeks. I have really enjoyed it.

Hmm, lots to think over for that question. I liked the last David Tennant special. Donna's Grandfather was a great character, and it was sad at the end when he regenerated because I really think the "I don't want to go" was very genuine.

So far, I think Tennant is my favorite of the 4 Doctors I have watched.

I am now half way through Season 8, and I am liking it so far. I'm enjoying Capaldi's grumpy Doctor.
