Are there going to be any changes to the Tech Spec system? I know the current one is tuned a but to Blademasters. Also, are our characters staying the same, or getting some upgrades since Omega Kingdom? I assume that I defeated Cyclonus, despite my standalone chapter never coming to full fruition.

Nope, you can't use OP as Cy killed him. Unless you want to finish that chapter thus giving you a second chance at life. (oops, forgot the eye wink smiley, . There, now you know I was just kidding, or was I???! !) The only changes I felt we should make would be to use the new layout and weapon systems. It was voted against using the WFC/FoC size and endurance specs with any new templates, unless people have a change of heart and want to add it to the tech spec now. I think it was only me and Bomblast who voted yes for it. If you guys want to share any ideas I'm open. As for actually upgrades, I will allow players to change their character's weapons, equipment and etc. As for points, hmmm.... I don't know. I think we'd all have to have a go at our characters and see what they have. As it is, the tech spec system is set up for players to arm characters with an assortment of equipment, powers and add-ons. In terms of weapons it might be more limited as it has been in the past few years, but considering there's the option of carrying two fire-arms and having a third fire-arm when in their alternate mode, a character can still pack a punch. Lets hear your ideas people.

It was so long ago, I can't remember what my vote was. All I remember was that I re-did Roadtrain's tech spec and I was happy with it, then I went to re-do D-Fib's profile, but I never got around to doing it. I'll try and get her profile done sometime this week and see how it works out.

Honestly, I was a big fan of the previous system- the one used for Omega Kingdom. It always put me in mind of G2 (my personal favorite TF comic), where Grimlock and the Firestormers are just stacked with weapons. It may be a bit less slick, but for me, it moved the aesthetic away from toy adverts to proper sci-fi. But that's just me- I'll be happy either way

Happy with how it was and don't really feel the need to change or upgrade my weapons. =)

I think I brought this up before about using the weapons from the Fall of Cybertron. The reason I used those weapons was to use the appeal of the game for a rpg. Also the weapon descriptions in the game I think help a lot with what the actually firearm does. Plus most if not all of us have played the game and we get an idea of how the weapon works in 'reality'. Plus TF traditional carried a primary and a heavy weapon. In the form of a hand held, or the weapon became the weapon, and a shoulder mount. Then followed equipment and powers and etc. You can still pack a punch with the amount of add-ons for certain firearms. But I often find that we don't used all our weapons, equipment and powers as much when were using characters who are geared up. I think in the Blademaster rpg your characters were all forced to use your equipment since it was all you really had.

I'm probably the only one who hasn't played WFC or FoC. I quite like the idea of having a primary and secondary weapon and equipment, though when we could have any number of weapons I still ended up with two weapons for my characters.

If we are just converting our old characters to the new profile layout/weapon system, I guess the only real question is mow many point for Weapons/Abilities do we get? I also guess the question is how many points for our specs and freebies. I though about making a new character alongside Onix and retire Quickshot besides him maybe making a cameo when in the HQ. I ask because I was going to release the new 2014 Onix model

For weapons you only have 2 spots for one primary and one heavy weapon. And that can be 2 firearms or a firearm and a melee weapons. Then I think its still 46 points for the tech spec and 9 points for equipment, powers and etc.

Yes. Its a mix of the Renegade tech specs and the Broken Planet tech specs. A marriage of the Renegade tech spec layout and points and the Broken Planet's weapons. Along with a few add-ons and adjustments.

Neo, with the new tech spec, we can have so much more weapons/equipment.

I thought Neo meant in terms of how many weapons a character could carry?

Yeah, with The Omega Kingdom, Onix had a heavy blaster, explosives, and 2 shoulder blasters.
With the current system, since weapons are free and you get 2 of them plus a vehicle mode weapons, this means Onix now has an 'EMP' Shotgun, X12 Scrapmaker, missile launchers in vehicle mode, Incendiary Canon attachment for my 'EMP' Shotgun, a C.L.U.T.C.H., Explosives, Over Shield, and Collision Armor.
