Yeah, EXACTLY! And you'd think when an entire army of vehicons was after them and Megatron had taken over the world, THAT'S when he would have used it MOST!

Didn't hear it once, had to be down to the new writers I think. Only good explanation.

"Well, that's just prime." "Hey, BigBot!" "Shut up, Rattrap!" I don't remember anybody laughing maniacally, either.

Its funny how Megatron all of the sudden didn't have any appreciation for his Beast Mode. Hell, he used to PET it in Beast Wars.

Yeah it was weird I agree. The only explanation for his turn around in thinking was that as far as I can remember it wasnt specified how much earlier he arrived at Cybertron in BM. I mean if it was centuries or even a millenia that's a long time and peoiple change, especially if he had some kind of weird intyernal annoyance at the BW loss and blamed it all on the beast modes?
I appreciate everyones commnets regarding character change. Its always hard when characters you have come to know and love alter especially when the chnages make little sense but thats evolution. Im a big campaigner for chnage in characters and stories. I dont want to see the same guys and gals each week in cartoon or comic format go out and do the same stuff. I wantr to see characters grow and develop and become something else.
Silverbolt was a antural progression and had a superb ArchAngel feel to him, i liked it.
Rattrap i sympathise with. Personally i didnt mind it but my brtoher is huge fan and he really disliked the BM version.
Primal made little sense but again I didnt mind it as it fitted the story and gave Cheetor the light he deserved as a leader.

But that was sacrificing many good characters. The writers for Beast Machines didn't seem to have ANY respect for the work that the writers of Beast Wars had created. And speaking from someone who has been studying psycology, the only change that made even the slightest bit of sense was SilverBolt's.

Well I stand by Megatrons as being reasonable givwen that it could have been a million years for all we know between his jumping off the ship and the Maximals arriving back on Cybertron. Still given the psychological pressure of the situation for the returning Maximals I think any and all chnages are justified given the cirumstances. i.e. you return home to find everyone wipe dout and the world controlled by a mass of un feeling robots, coupled with the fact your bodies no longer work and you get given strange new ones you dont kbnow how to use! wow Now ive typed it out it all makes perfect sense to me Hell id change if that happened to me tomorrow.

Those are good points Steel, and Silverbolth I totally agree with, change is necessary, as it allowed BM to become different, but such dramatic changes in some places did make you question why. Rattrap was probably my biggest reason, as in BW he was too cool, but BM just made him a lesser version of himself, which I saw little reason for.
But I fully agree, Characters do need to evolved and adapt, look at Cheetor, from BW to BM he made the best progress in my opinion, and Dinobot to, leading up to his death, he was no longer as kill happy and more thoughtful about life and his purpose. So change is needed, but characters shouldn't be born again.

The only time I disliked it was the Optimus TM1 rebirth. he should have stayed dead a little longer and come straight back as Optimal.
Although I did secretly hope wed see Primal Prime at the end of BM...

That would rock. The Optimal Megs thing isn't quite the same, but I guess we can go with that.

I keep wondering why, when he dies, all the Maximals actually think it's for good. There has to be this big show of surprise on their faces when it really isn't a surprise at all.
