Yeah. I liked it when he stored dynamite in his arms...
Actually, given the statistics, there aren't many people who have come back from the dead. Even fewer who have done it more than once. Yeah, you'd think that eventually they'd get used to his constant ressurections. But then, each time he dies there's less chance he'll come back again. The only reason we aren't surprised is because we're a bunch of cynical cartoon-watching nerds.

Rattrap actually made a joke about that in BW, when OP comes back in Optimal form, there is this little convo.
Cheetor: "Optimus sure learns how to use his new body fast?" Rattrap:"What do you expect, he changes often enough."
But OPs death at the end of Season 1 was cool and the beginning of Season 2 even better, as the Maximals were screwed royaly, till OP came back to lay some smack down.

Agreed. Ops chnages were cool and you just got used to it.
Its like a precursor to current TF shows only they dont get new bodies just the same in different colours *sigh*

[glow=blue,2,000]Not to get off topic, but the whole changing a body and your name is weird. Except for Megatron/Galvatron, reformating, mermories blah, blah... but Bumble Bee/Gold Bug... huh?[/glow]

Gold Bug didn't even change his appearance very much besides his face. And he was still the same person, maybe he just didn't like his old name.

I have always seen Goldbug and by the same extension Pretender Bumblebee as the grown up version of that characters. Maybe thats because im heavily influenced by the Marvel G1 comics though.

Its all a ploy to sell toys Megs even those characters who dont change bodies are merely marketing their own toy form.
If anything id prefer characters chane bodies as at least from our story pov you have history rather than introducing new characters all the time ala season 2,3 and 4 of TF. Some new guys are fine (BW style) but they take it to an extreme and everyone else gets forgotten about.
As for the Bumble-Gopldbug-Bumble thing yeah. But I look at Pretender Classic Bumble as a older version of the character to as also illustrated in his uber cool DW techspec.

I didn't mind pretender bumblebee, but i really didn't like goldbug. But back to the hair and as Sharpy said, as long as it's synthetic it doesn't matter, it won't grow and in the case of being on the beast modes that's fine. So what about G1 Scourge and his pointy metallic beard thing? Yay or neh? Wreck-gar? add your own..

Yeah i think its just personal style than for any sense. Scourge wasnt exactly wise or anything being the chump compared to Cyclonus and Galvatron.
Best BW haircut goes to B'Boom's mohawk hands down!
