Age groups comes into it alot as when you think about it G1 could be seen as a general saturday morning cartoon for kids, but BW & BM went for slightly older kids as it was a bit darker and actually had a story arc,, not just a different series each episode which continued with RID.
Armada/Energon/Cybretron for all they're worth sort of crossed it story arcs and throw-away episodes.

[glow=blue,2,000]Not just that, also in BW/BM, its not like you had writers ignoring/forgot or just didn't care what had happened before. Too many chef's in the kitchen and your going get something different.
One thing though that I do remember, was they did go back to unbury Skyfire from under the snow where he had crashed. At least they did that.[/glow]

The creators of Beast Wars (According to the interviews i've seen of them) weren't actually Transformer fans, alot of it was made up as they went along.

But at least it wasn't all over the place like G1 was. One week autobots could fly, another they couldn't, then they could again as they had rockets in their hands.

I bet if Mr. Forward had Hasbro breathing down there neck, like the g1 writers did then BW would have ended uplke G1 or worse. I think thats the reason given by writers of the G1 series when asked about continuity of episodes.. remember season 1? MTMTE 3 episodes meshed.. but then after the uber hit it became it was lost to the masses

[glow=blue,2,000]So did Ultimate Doom and the episode right after that. Cool stuff man!
And thats the reason why really, Hasbro was on those guys on the show and the comic, except for the UK, to get all there new toys out in the latest format.
BTW, do you mean Bob Forward?[/glow]
