[glow=blue,2,000]Alittle off topic here but if you can make a TF referrence then you'll offically recieve my 'No-Prize' award, originated by Marvel comics.
Who was the original Anti-Hero? In TF I feel it was Grimlock. When it comes to other Anti-Heros, Wolverine springs to mind. Who else and who came before Wolverine.[/glow]

Hulk, Sub-Mariner, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, Black Widow, Black Panther, Hawkeye, Punisher, Daredevil, Spiderman and Elektra are a few that spring to mind.
Don't if last three are loner but and some of these might have been after wolvie.

no way is spidey an anti hero. In marvel terms I'd say Wolvy gets it as he is considered THE Marvel anti hero. Angel was a bit of a badboy and he (he and Arc Angel were both created a while before Wolverine) seemed to be a loner. The first Anti-hero though? that's a tough one, I'd say possibly The Vision or Hawkeye

[glow=blue,2,000]Yeah, Spider-Man ain't the anti-hero, he was misunderstood and that editor guy slagged him good.
I'm not just talking about Marvel, lord knows DC got loads of them.
Hawk Eye? Really? Then again I don't know enough about him. Daredevil ? How is that? And Doc Strange? I know all these guys but not there history.
And what about my favourite Deadpool? Plus you guys forgot about the TF reference.[/glow]

Whilst a lot of the above have elements of the anti hero id say Punisher is the proper 'anti hero' (and im not a punisher fan either).
Wolvy isnt an anti hero. he does the right thing and just fight s his beast side, i really dislike the popularity of the character so am biased.
Spidey is so nit an anit hero - sorry.
As for TF, Grimlock hands down.

[glow=blue,2,000]Grrrrrrr, you got something against Canadian superhero's?!
Actually it is a bit much with him, actually he ain't Canandian anymore. Damn Marvel and making Wolvys origin. He took away his name....
Heavy Assault makes a good Anti-Hero...[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,300]Not Marvel but Vegeta from DBZ was a real anti hero
In BW I suppose Dinobot and Depthcharge were anti heros. [/glow]

HA is a great anti hero!
Wolvy had potential but hes too popular and cheesey now, hes lost his bad ass edge.
As for Vegeta, im a huge DBZ fan (have a dbz rpg going now). He is a superb badass. And hes done some terrible terrible things that really he shouldnt be forgiven for regardless of how hes changed. Thats a real anti hero!
Dinobot and DC were too i guess. But i always thought X could have gone that route. tehy always seemed to hint at his being a freak and different as some sort of justification of what hes done (transmutate). Also they say he was a Maximla they more or less experimented on to make a mutant spark. Hes always come across to me as a victim whos been changed by circumstance. i thought it would be cool if he was changed back someday and tried to atone for his sins by doing good (Angel style really).

If we;re going all over the board, Heero Yui in gundam is a proper anime anti hero. Vegeta is the DBZ dude, the Punisher wins it in Marvel though I'm not sure about Deadpool though

Deadpool is ok but i agree he isnt as anit hero as Punisher. Heero is good in Gundam for sure. Although Zechs does a marvellous turn as a good/bad guy! (Im pro Zechs cause Tallgeese is my fave )

[glow=blue,2,000]Yeah, Pun beats DP, waaaaaaaay more history but DP is that bad guy who's trying to do good but screws up and just walks that fine line, plus he's nuts. If he wasn't so stupid he'd had offed alot of Marvel Characters by now. But now he's ruined. So new writers and they even changed the name of the comic book and rewrote everything. He sucks now.[/glow]

yeah tall geese and DeathScythe Hell (is that right?) PWNZ0R. I never liked Deadpool to be honest, or rather, I never got into him. Spidey, the X-men, the Avengers and of course Captain Britain all hold special places in my heart. so who is older The Punisher or the Vision? they're both anti heroes after all
