In cartoon as big or bigger than metroplex, in comic as big, maybe a bit bigger than PowerMaster Prime.
Bludgeon ruled! How can you not like him dude, he's a Skeletor Samurai! How cool is that!

just seemed totally out of place to me, should of been in GI Joe or Thundercats or something. I didn't know Scorp was that big, I thought he was a tiny bit bigger than Prime

Hes bigger than Shockwave, even if just in terms of bulkiness with huge shoulder pads and claws etc etc.
As for Bludgeon, i can see you rpoint which i suppose is the view of a lot of G1 fans on the pretenders in general. im a big fan of Pretenders i think the shells give them a great 'instant' personality and distinctiveness. Ock is my asll time fave but Bludgeon, Stranglehold, and Bugly are up there too.

I never really liked any of the pretenders, the whole idea of 'outer shells' didn't appeal to me in the slightest. were they all sposed to be the same size?

The pretenders as a group or the shells?
They were all on a similar scale i suppose except for the beasts who were obviously shorter and longer being giant animals.
I like ot think of the shells as bio armour, i mean it Twing's techspec lists it as increasing his power by 50% or somthing mad like that. Plus its indestructable.
Insteresting point it Bugly's techspec specifically lists his ability to control the shell via remote. makes me think originally it was a ability specific to him alone before everyone could do it.

I think he means Zarak's humnaity (is that right for a nebulon?) asserting itself in the end of the road. Something im trying to carry over at Civil War with Scorponok, making him a flawed man who makes bad calls and the like. So is that why you had him take on the whole Autobot army on earth while they are in a heavly fortifyed and amerd base with only Rumble, Roadblock and Snapdragon to help. I wont go into how you are now knocked out, Snappy is all but lost and its down to me and a tape to save your asses

[glow=blue,2,000]Bludgeon is one of those rare Decepticons thats for sure. I think I'm friendlier towards Pretenders now adays, if the inside of the shells had a more robotic look then just a shell I'd dig it, kind of like Robotech, in the 3rd generation with the motorbikes.
And Roadblock's shell, is Batman's suit in there?[/glow]

lol batman hee hee hee. Ah good times...
Anyway...
Yeah ive alwasy been a massive pretenders fan hence the opck fascination. I just think they stand out so well. But i agree if they had a weird almost TM2 look to them it would be cooler as if the shells bond to the inner robots. I imagine cables and wires snaking out and into the host bodies as they combine with their shell, so they become one entity.

I always thought they should of done a Genocyber style thing, ie an organic outer shell merging with the robotic inside
