So I've been trawling through past threads and I didn't want to do a) something that had been covered already or a Cartoon character Vs another cartoon character. (Seeing as the "FIGHT!" topic will be any TF media character Vs any TF media character.) SO I had this simple idea.
If you could change anything from any cartoon, besides obvious things like too much humans, colouring errors ect, what would it be and why? It could be a character's action/personality or ability. A storyline/event, weapon, a saying a history already happened or going to happen.
What would you change in any of the series? You can pick out as many as you like.

The obvious thing would be Animated would at least get one more season to tie up loose ends.
But since we aren't going for the obvious........I always thought it would have been really cool for the Beast Wars combiners to be in the show, so I'd like to add them in if I could. I'd also like to go back and remove the Headmaster from Animated, or just have a less annoying human controlling it. Those episodes were unpleasant.

I agree with Onix- having the BW combiners in the show would've been awesome!
I'd have really enjoyed having the Jumpstarters, Top Spin and Twin Twist, in the original cartoon too. They were some of our favorite toys as kids.
There are so many things racing through my mind about this topic... "I'll be back."

I think it would have lasted longer had it not been so different from the first 2 seasons. All of a sudden Transformers were built by 5 headed squid robots, and in command by leaders that weren't to likable (Rodimus and Galvatron both).

Since the 3rd season of the G1 show was brought up, I'll offer my thoughts on it. The good thing I think about season 3 is, it began to focus of a limited amount of characters rather then trying to mention everyone they could just so they could make kids like the toys. You began to get a line up of the main characters and they were close to being a good balance. Hot Rod, the young, brash and at time reckless hero. Kup, his father figure with all his experience. Ultra Magnus, the leader like hero who has it all together. Springer, the no nonsense man of action. Arcee, the female hero with common sense and well grounded in reality who also offers a sensitive side to everything. Blurr, the comedy relief and yes Wheelie, even Wheelie as the kid. And an honorable mention to Perceptor as the brains. What I felt was good about this cast is you get your group of good guys who are up against the forces of evil. Be it Galvatron's Decepticons or the Quintessons, its about this band of bots doing there thing and there's enough personality and ego to make the in house fighting as good as the fighting going on outside. I felt the UK comic did an awesome job with these characters and even placed them in the right area of being the Transformers of the future. Hot Rod got a lot of time as Hot Rod and we got to know him better and see him grow rather then being thrusted on to the position of Autobot leadership after an hour or so after being introduced to him. Ultra Magnus was awesome. Squaring off against Galvatron in the comics gave him the street cred he needed after the TF Movie didn't do him justice. Another thing I'd change would be Rodimus Prime's and Ultra Magnus general lack of confidence in their leadership abilities. I mean, two Autobot commanders with confidence issues? Maybe one of them but not two. As for the Quintessons, I'd change something there too. But I'm not saying what since it's related to a RPG idea of mine that I'm keeping tight lipped about. Unicron! Oh yeah, Unicron's creator in the show. What a bunch of crap! I prefer the comic version, the origin is much better rather then a midget creating a planet and the Matrix being his assistant.

I think come season 3, Ultra Magnus was the more confident of the two though (Other being Rodimus of course), at least he came across stronger - which wasn't hard to do after what the 86' movie established Magnus as. I dunnno, I think Magnus had some strong leadership qualities in season #3. Didn't like how Grilock got even more dumb, but then he's my favourite character ever so I am a little bit biased!
You've also got to wonder how Terrorsaur would've faired in he lived, (Only killed because it was meant to be Waspinator, but fans loved him too much). There's a huge possibility with Armada had the minicons not been a) turned into a catch-em-all gimmick and b) had not been exploited into just instruments od power for the regular Transformers. The whole "3rd race" idea failed. I like how it went once we got into the "Unicron battles" however. With Energon I think maybe it might have been more interesting to go the route of more Energon weapons abilities made by the (Omnicons?) rather than the whole "partners" think and linking up, that didn't work for me. I'd get rid of that for sure.

I didn't know it was going to be Waspinator that died instead of Terrorsaur!
