So last year was Transformers 30th anniversary, but how was the last year for you regarding Transformers?
Dubbed by those in charge as "Thrilling 30 years" was the last year enough for you, what were you're favorite things/toys/comics or shows? What are you looking forward too in 2015, and do you think the "Thrilling 30" line was thrilling enough?
Although I haven't really brought figures in 2014, except one, thinks under the generations line like Waspinator, Rhinox, show the line continuing to go from strength to strength. For me the "thrilling" was a let down as there were ones that were coming out anyway (Metroplex) or already out and a lot of re-paints and re-hashes. For me I was sad when TF: Prime ended, a series that just got better and better the more it went on. Although the tv movie ending felt a little rushed and it could've been longer I'm happy to have gotten so much into the series. I am very hesitant about the 2015 series however.

I found it a bit lackluster. While there were some really good things to come out of the thrilling thirty like Jetfire, Rhinox, Rattrap and Roadbuster, there was also a lot of mediocre figures (Whirl, Tankor, the minibots), and some even downright bad figures(Windblade, Skybyte).
The movie line was mostly full of throw away junk, all I picked up was the Dinobots.

Was it the size of Tankor or something else? Was Skybyte really that bad? I was gonna get that figure eventually.

With Tankor it is about size and just the sheer simplicity of the figure. It just isn't really a fun figure, but it adequately does everything a Tankor figure needed to.
As for Skybyte, he looks good in robot and beast mode, but he is a disaster. Take all the intricacy and engineering from Rhinox or Rattrap and throw it out. I like how he looks, but he is not much fun, and holds together poorly in shark mode. There is already a perfect Skybyte toy, and it is the original.

I didn't get any of the movie line, still haven't seen the film. Only drift and hound at best appealed, all the Dinobots looked generic. None of these 2015 RID line looks decent either.

Hound is a pretty cool figure. The only Dinobots I got were Slug and Scorn. I really like them both. I can't remember which of the figures I bought last year are classed as being part of the Thrilling 30. I think Springer and Sandstorm were. Definitely like those two. Sandstorm holds together better in his alt modes, but Springer doesn't have as much trouble standing up. I think Centuritron was part of Thrilling 30 as well. I quite like that one, Deluxe sized robot formed by 3 minicons. There are a few issues (such as Heavy Tread's face [yes, the face] forming Centuritron's butt, and Heavy Tread's arms blocking Centuritron's legs), but they look good together, both as a trio and combined.

When I look at Snarl's robot mode, why do I think Insecticon?

It's the head, definitely the head. As I've said before, the rest of them suffer from generic "bucket head" looks IMO.

That's the point though. Their heads are designed after knight helmets. Pretty much literal bucket heads

The Generations line. Minus Tankor and Skybite.

I think this year for transformer was pretty good, I've got alots of awesome toys like Wheeljack, and bumblebee and t-shrits. My fav transformers show if Transformers prime, that show was really cool and i think they should do more like it.
