I know we have a bunch of gamers on here and that some of them play AC.
So share, how did you get started on AC and which game is your fav?
I got started late. HA had always spoke about this game giving it a lot of praise. I didn't buy AC1 until maybe 2012? I thought it was really cool for a game that came out in 2006 and understood why ppl loved it. Then I got the 2nd one and enjoyed playing that, and then the 3rd one and loved that one too! Now the forth one, Revelations I didn't like quite as much as the 2nd and 3rd but it was ok.
So for Xmas I got the American Collection. I played AC3 and was a little disappointed. Wssn't impressed with the story, not really exciting and I thought some of it was odd. But now I'm playing Black Flag and I love that one! I'm more of a pirate then assassin in it, love the ship battles and I think the story and characters are way better then the last one.

I own AC1, AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations and AC3. I started by playing AC2 and played the hell out of it. So much so that I started playing it a second time. Got about half way through Brotherhood and sort of hit a wall. Never progressed any further in the games. I also started playing AC1 some time after completing 2 and I quickly gave up on that because the controls were so bad.
While I haven't played much of the games, I have read the books that go along with them. They are fantastic. They books follow Altair, Ezio, Haytham and Edward, having none of the present day stuff. Actually found myself getting a little emotional at the end of Revelations. Of all the Assassin's I've had experience with so far, Ezio and Edward are my favourites. Haytham, I wasn't a fan of. Connor, I know nothing about (Haven't played 3 and he wasn't featured much in the books). Altair was pretty cool, but I prefer Ezio and Edward.

Yeah I agree there BB, Ezio and Edward are great. Eddy is my fav. And I hate the modern day stuff. Don't get me wrong, I think its cool and groundbreaking, I just got sick of it. Actually I just got sick of Desmond.

Love the AC games! Unfortunately haven't got my hands on the last two that came out so I'm still on the American Revolution stuff. The latest one I've played is Assassins Creed Liberation that... personally... could've done with a little more. It's hard to immerse in, I'm only half way through. Altair is one I have fond memories of and would love to play again, purely for the beautiful environments and epic landscapes. The Ezio stories were pretty neat as well but I'm glad it ended when it did because it was starting to get a little stuck story wise I feel.
I hear what you're saying with the real-world stuff. I reckon it's boring because there could be so much more to it but there isn't, could be so much more to Desmond but there isn't.

I finished AC Syndicate a while back. Need to do the extra additions to it now. I really liked the game as it took place in London during the 1800s. And using both the twins kept things interesting.

I need to go back and finish Syndicate. That game was really fun. Swapping between the two twins was a cool mechanic, using Evie for the stealthier missions and Jacob for more open combat. I also loved the personalities of the twins, Evie being charming and Jacob being snarky. Like when you join Charles Dickens' ghost hunting club:
Evie: "It would be an honour." Jacob: "That sounds utterly mental....I'm in."
