Inspired by this thread. Are you a Marvel or DC fan? Who is you favourite superhero/comic book character? (Not a Transformer) Personally I never really read any of the comics growing up - Superman, Iron Man, Batman etc. I've always been a Hulk fan (HULK SMASH!) but that's due to the tv series with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno (That I adored) more than anything else. There's also a very short run 1982 Hulk cartoon I adored but It only ever run to 13 episodes before getting axed. I have it on DVD. This cartoon had a huge impact on me, the opening and incidental music throughout. I don't think Hulk ever spoke much, just grunted. Keep in mind i was 6years old back then, I was both slighly intimidated by that fact and in awe.

Oh yeah, I used to watch this and the live-action version too. My Mom loved the live-action and would always joke when she saw the actor who played David Bruce Banner in other shows that when he was angry he was about to hulk out!
I'm a Marvel man. I don't remember why I didn't like DC comics. To me they are kind of corny but they did have some really dark subject matter back in the days before comics got edgy. I did like Superman, Batman, Shazam/Capt. Marvel, Aquaman and the Flash but I really got into Marvel comics much later in high school. It was all about the X-Men then and I used to know tons about the Marvel Universe. Now a days not so much as I didn't keep up with what was going on and the new trends and changes.
The only DC characters I like would be Batman and some of the characters related to him.

"Mr McGee. Don't make me angry, you would like me when I'm angry!" XD
I do remember a very brief flirtation with an Iron Man comic, but I don't think it lasted long. I even had a hulk T-shirt, I'll have to try and dig out the photo and scan it if I can, this was around that time and the UK's royal family: Charles & Diana's wedding. I was on holiday in Jersey ("Where the cows come from", not to be confused with New Jersey USA.)

I'm a huge Marvel fan. Never really read any comics when I was younger and back then I was a big fan of Batman (used to watch the cartoon from the 90's all the time) and the live-action films. But lately I've started reading Marvel comics (thanks to the movies) and I have a fair few now. I much prefer the characters and I think that a lot are better than their DC counter-part (Namor the Submariner and Aquaman being a perfect example).
I have been getting into Green Arrow and The Flash recently, thanks to the shows Arrow and The Flash. I've also been enjoying Gotham as well. DC are definitely doing better than Marvel in terms of tv shows.

I wouldn't mind reading some nowadays, especially after getting a big Silver age of DC comics 1959 - 1970 for Xmas.
I meant to get into Gotham but never got round to it.

I've been thinking about getting old X-men comics. Around when they introduced the 2nd generation of the team. The stories and art were great!

I'm a big Marvel fan. I've seen shows from both DC and Marvel, most of the 90s ones which to me still were some of the best but I have liked some of the recent shows they have playing, though the X-men are some of my more favorite in terms of teams, the Avengers have come to be my second and the Justice League third since those are the teams I know the most.
Though I am mostly for Marvel I do like The Flash, Batman, and Green latern, but none of them beat Hawkgirl who I've always liked. Some of my favorite Marvel heroes would have to include Storm, Shadowcat, Ms.Marvel, Falcon, and of course Wolverine. The comics I've started getting, mostly X-men, from some old and some more recent and it's just interesting to see how the art style has changed and how the stories have changed.

I'm a Marvel fan mostly. Marvel just has more real characters, even if they are super-humans. Can't go wrong with Spider-man, the X-Men, or Iron-Man. I didn't really grow up reading comics either, so cartoons were my foray into those worlds.
When it comes to DC, I find most of the heroes to be too cheesy or too stupidly over powered (looking at you Superman). Only DC character I have really come to love is Batman. The Nolan movies and Arkham games have fostered that love. Also a big fan of Joker and Harley.

Mark Hamill (mARK HAMill...ARKHAM...Coincidence? I think not!) is a fantastic choice for The Joker.
I remember recently when Aquaman got new powers and a lot of people were saying that he's cool now. I saw one comment saying "He's still a terrible character, he's just ridiculously over-powered". I think that's my problem with a lot of DC's characters, they kinda skimp on the weaknesses. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any Marvel characters that don't have serious weaknesses. Even the likes of Thor, Hulk and Juggernaut have weaknesses that can leave them seriously screwed.

I like both DC and Marvel but for years was a die hard and mainly DC guy. My favorites were the big three SUPERMAN/BATMAN/WONDER WOMAN. However lately DC has been irritating me especially with their lack of an unlimited digital subscription. So I have been reading more and more Marvel with my Marvel Unlimited membership and I love it. I have always loved certain characters in the Marvel universe, my top five being.... STORM, WOLVERINE, Captain Marvel, Rogue, Dazzler, Black Panther, and Iron Fist to name a few.

DC does seem to have a hold on TV. But the only superhero show I've been able to watch is Dare Devil. I really enjoy, they got the right looking actor for Kingpin. And now they have the Punisher coming to the second season! Can't wait!

Marvel. Fav series is X-Men, and fav hero is Gambit, followed by Jean, then Wolverine. I have collected some of the X-Men comics from the early-mid 90's, remember the 90's cartoon fondly, loved the video games by Capcom, and loved the movies, though I still need to see the most recent one. Besides that, I like Spiderman, Swampthing, and a few other series from Marvel. IMO the best Spiderman was the 90's cartoon version. I also enjoyed the early 2000's movies.

It was 1981 so I would've actually been 5 years old.
