I tried STD (Star Trek: Discovery), but I just couldn't get past episode 4, lost interest. I didn't care that the Klingons looked different but one of the main ones talked like he had a mouth full of gobstoppers. I just couldn't get into it.
Currently I'm on season 6 of both Voyager and Deep Space 9 on Neflix, like TNG it takes 2 or 3 seasons to get with the program with a handful of good episodes and a handful of cheesy/cringey/bad ones. Alot of that was still Roddenberry in TNG in the early seasons, the very 60's little skirts on the female dresses, Wesley, But it got better, Same with DS9 and Voyager (Just not Roddenberry's fault as he had long since passed by then) but after a few seasons they both got better. Will always have a lot of love for Next Gen as it's the tv series where I started:
TOS movies>TNG/TOS repeats/DS9/VOY...
I always liked Generations (despite killing René) and First Contact - but it ends there for me.

It didn't hit me until later that changing the Klingons was a bad idea. The originals are so iconic! And just the look is super fun too.

When you say the originals, do you mean TOS or TNG? Because they pretty much looked human in TOS. Mind you, I'm basing that off the DS9 episode where they went back in time and ended up joining Kirk's crew.
First Contact is one of my top 5 Sci-Fi movies of all time. It just has everything. Space battles, evil robots, time-travel, pretty much the only think it doesn't have it cloning.

I totally forgot about that. I mean their look in the movies.

Generations is my favourite ST film, mainly because it was the first I saw in the cinema and I was heavily into next gen as a kid when it came out. But I agree with Bomblast that First contact is the best TNG film, I do like the others, I don't think Nemesis is awful.
As for Discovery..... being kind, I mean the cinematography is mostly nice and it is a good series! Just not a good Star Trek series.

Sad news that Robert Walker Jr has died, known in the Star Trek universe for the main role of Charlie in the original series episode Charlie X, one of my favorite original TOS episodes. EDIT: It seems we have also lost Rene Auberjonois - Odo from Deep Space Nine also 79, from Metastatic lung cancer. This is a sad, sad day for Trek fans.
