So if you haven't heard the 30th anniversary blu-ray version of the 1986 animated movie is coming out and the cover art has been revealed, although I'm not nuts about it: (Thumbs): For me it's pretty generic and doesn't really represent the movie well, it's just a little bland. Any way come August 8th it will officially be 30 years so what are your thoughts about the movie 30 years on? Does it still stand well, should Optimus not have died and should we have seen more of the older characters (Mirage, Sunstreaker, trailbreaker etc? Here's a little tit-bit of trivia from IMDb:

You know......who cares. I want Beastwars Neo Dubbed. Don't get me wrong.G1 was great but.....really? Enough of the re-re-release.Blu ray!Joy!Not!

I basically agree. I have the one they released for the 20th on dvd. I don't see a need for a blu-ray copy. Not like it is going to do cometh in different with a 30 year old movie.

What about the quality though? (So as not to kill this discussion completely.), is the transfer for the 20th good enough? I wouldn't know as I never got round to buying the 20th anniversary edition.
