Anyone seen this old UK BBC series?
I was only 1 years old when it came out, but my friend's mother showed it to him so he grew up with repeats, but I had never seen it until now. It's another sci-fi show from the BBC and it's created by Terry Nation - creator of the Daleks in Doctor Who. The budget is very laughable and the effects very dated, but it has relatable characters and proper deep story telling lasting 4 seasons
synopsis from wikipedia:
The series is set in a future age of interstellar travel and concerns the exploits of a group of renegades and convicted criminals. Gareth Thomas played the eponymous character Roj Blake, a political dissident who is arrested, tried and convicted on false charges, and then deported from Earth to a prison planet. He and two fellow prisoners, treated as expendable, are sent to board and investigate an abandoned alien spacecraft. They get the ship working, commandeer it, rescue two more prisoners, and are joined by an alien guerrilla with telepathic abilities. In their attempts to stay ahead of their enemies and inspire others to rebel, they encounter a great variety of cultures on different planets, and are forced to confront human and alien threats. The group performs a campaign against the totalitarian Terran Federation until an intergalactic war occurs.
It's become my new obsession and I'm only half-way through series #1!

I heard of this show and I think it was on Canadian TV once in a while, along with DW. It looks really cool but I don't think I could watch it now, I can't really get through old DW to be honest.
