I'm already in love with the animation style and how everything doesn't look all clean and shiny but kind of grimy. What are your first thoughts?

The animation looks great, a little choppy but still great! The only thing I am not a big fan of right now is how overly robotic some of the voices are. Even for a Transformers series I think it’s a little overdone, especially for Megatron. I would expect this more with Soundwave to some extent, but I don’t know the voices right now just aren’t my favorites. I still intend to watch the series, and maybe it will be one of those things it will take some getting use to.

Some are worried because Rooster Teeth are involved and the vibe I'm getting is that they have a bad reputation for failures. I like the look of it though, Megatron's lips are a little... weird but.. Some fans are also crying over the Lack of Peter Cullen and Frank Welker respectively as Optimus Prime and Megatron but hello? - Beast Wars, Unicron Trilogy, Animated anyone? Some already being nothing but negative about it.

Yea I’ve heard all the usual backlash about it, and quite frankly ignore it. The story and setting look great, the animation really isn’t that bad at all, and it’s great to see some characters who have been gone for years return to the small screen again. My only complaint really is the overly robotic voices for some of them that just don’t fit, such as with Angelina Jolie lipped Megatron.

I don't know if we get it the end of July as well over here, but not gonna lie - that Omega claw got me excited! (And goddamn did I keep pusing to see which Autobots were there!)

This trailer was so much better than the last! Animation looks far more decent and less clunky. Still a little iffy about the robotic sound with Megatron’s voice but it’s not intolerable.

I'll give it a chance for sure. I must admit to not liking the look of Netflic She Ra. I just can't get into animation like that unless it's characters i don't know already. The original She Ra was like He-Man and not as cartoonish as the new one. I hope that makes sense. This looks very promising. I'm going to scream inside when each of my favorites comes on the screen.

So I've watched it and to be honest I'm disappointed.
We have seen this story before where the Autobots must leave Cybertron. Not exactly original. I'm sort of ok with it I guess, I wasn't expecting much. And there are other things we have seen before too. They're lots they borrowed from G1. The look of the Transformers for sure. But also where the show started off with Wheeljack and Bumble Bee looking for Eneergon. Just like in the first G1 episode. Jetfire is a Decepticon sort of like he was in the G1 show. The goes to join the Autobots. And Ultra Magnus is useless just like in the G1 show!
I think the voice acting sucks. I think Prime, Megatron and Starscream were good and that's it. Everyone else is below average down to terrible. The dialogue isn't fun, the characters have very little personality. And what personality they do have is depressing. I get it, the show is suppose to be serious but the dialogue and voice acting is lacking much to be desired.
The War for Cybertron video game had far better dialogue, voice acting, humour and emotion. I'm comparing it because this new show takes it's name from the game. The game was a far better effort of the portrayal of the Transformers last days on Cybertron.
And what really bugged me was all the repaints. I got sick of seeing Sideswipe clones everywhere. I feel its lazy production here. I know that TF has repaints and Cybertronian's share models but come on!
I'll watch it again I think. But I'm not blown away but this show. Transformers Prime was a lot more fun.

I haven't watched it my self but I have paid attention to rooster teeth and recently there stuff has gotten to decline.which if the rumor that roaster teeth is going Hollywood and actually going to be making professional shows that will go on the big screen is true then the content they make may get worse as it goes on.

Transformers Prime was a lot more fun. Whilst it's true that it doesn't hold anything new, I'm far from dissapointed. yes there are plenty of flaw and things that could be improvred upon but think the point is they are going for serious stoytelling over humour/fun, that's the point. That withstanding, I kinda do agree with the the lack of warmth in the characters which goes down to the voice acting , which alot of fans have complained about. In the end HASBRO are still involved and there is still an element of "What toys can we sell" and what hit's that maker tna names like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, to a lesser degree Megatron. Which is why it was nice to certain other characters i there, it's just a pity there weren't more for the background fillas - even if they didn't have lines. Using G1 really is "playing it safe", it would be nice to see some multiuniverse characters in there like Armada Hotshot (Or whoever etc.)
