Whether it's in the shows, with the toys or even in the comic and tech specs.
I was thinking the other day, and I know this is a fairly odd topic, but it struck me how things have evolved. Going back to the original with acid pellets, null rays, proton guns, thermo swords, fusion cannons, glass guns to good old laser rifles and of course Optimus' iconic Ion blaster. Things certainly got more creative come the armada/energo+ era first with Minicons as power-ups and weapons then later next series energon weapons made from processed energon ore, the weapons appearing out of energon stars.
Are there any weapons any Transformer had you felt wasn't really right for them. Shouldn't it hold true to what their strongest in profession wise if it's military as well as their abilities. Should their personality in terms of their strengths and weaknesses play a factor in what weapons they have?
Some food for thought.

Interesting!
Marvel went to a lot of trouble to make creative weapons in the original G1 comic. The G1 cartoon basically had them shooting lasers until maybe someone's weapon did their special thing. I think Prowl's acid pellets were mentioned once, same as Cliffjumper's glassgas.
I never liked Jazz's flame thrower. He always came off to me as a special agent kind of guy. It makes sense for Dinobot Slag. (Yes I said Slag!)
Bluestreak's had some heavy firepower. Kind of wasted on a coward.
Never understood Sideswipe's flare gun. Unless a Cybertronian flare gun is different from what we humans consider a flare gun.
