CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG.......
But G1's influence has been stronger then BW's influence on TF since TF came back into the spot light over the pass few years?
Asking for a friend.... just kidding. This isn't meant to bash BW. This is what I see and I would like to hear from different opinions.

Very much so. The powers that be knows it sells in the end - make sure you get those big names - Optimus, megatron, Starscream, in recent years Prowl. As much as I love G1 it'd be nice to see them develop some of the other continuities for a change.

Agreed. If the BW works well then we might see a change.
I bring this up because a certain bias member used to bring up how much BW did for TF. But looking at TF I just don't see an over whelming or dominate influence on TF in recent years. Sure BW did good things and brought TF back in to ppl's minds, but the show hasn't aged that well and I can barely watch it just as I can barely watch the G1 shows.
Can't watch the war for cybertron series either for that matter....

I don't know, I've still got a lot of love for the old Beast Wars, shows always will. Sure the earlycgi animation was just at the beginning and hasn't aged well (I suspect the series Reboot would suffer nowadays also), but I think it's one of those things you have to take into considearation for the time it was made. Much like the G1 many colour and error animation mistakes.
As freaky as the animated series style was, that and Prime at least dared to do something different, yes it had the namesakes but the looks wasn't G1 based at least. Are the other series considered other timelines? Whatever happened to surviving characters from RID (2002) on Earth, Armada/Energon/Cybertron etc? and this is the problem, especially in video games and comics and even the new war for Cybertron series, it always goes right back to the G1 aesthetic. (Also yes Kingdom obviously did have Beast Wars characters, but this Primal was bland with no personality in the voice like many of the others, the MVPs being Blackarachnia, airrazor IMO. Rattrap and dinobot were "passable" IMO)

I came across a thread on another site where they were dissing it, kids don't understand that it was cutting edge for the time.

Hm, have to agree you see the influence of Beast Wars only here and there. But it definitely hasn’t been far from influential in the Transformers franchise as a whole.
Series like Beast Wars Uprising did try to do something, but it failed in the end when I believe Fun Publications didn’t work out long comics wise. There is the more recent comics that came out starting this year, so maybe it might be having a resurgence. Nowadays, it seems the influence of Beast Wars has been relegated to occasional appearances such as in the Armada comics and War for Cybertron, and characters here and there like BA in Animated or Cheetor in Cyberverse. But I don’t know, maybe it might change due to the newer comics as well as the planned Transformers movie based around BW coming out then there was also IDW’s use of the Maximals under Shockwave in their 2005-2019 run and the planet of Eukaris that used many familiar faces.
As for those dissing the show, wouldn’t be surprised if it’s my generation as well as those of my siblings’ generation…Luckily, mine are some of the rare exceptions since they both love the original Beast Wars.

Let's not forget as well The Beast Wars franchise 9FRom when it started) turned 25 last year! Whilst the new movie does incorporate Beast Wars, I'm not going to get my hopes up. The lack-luster Beast wars chasracters part of Kingdom (Minus BlackArachnia and Airrazor IMO) is probablly as much as we can hope for. I hope that changes.
At least in the comics, stop pandering to G1 all the time (As much as I love G1 of course) and give us some more Beast Wars! With writing that truley understands the characters!
