As the battle in the Terrordome begins, a ancient lift arrives at the bottom of one of Cybertron's deepest, underground shafts. Thousands of feet beneath the surface in forgotten passage ways, Thunderwing, Caliban and a squad of Tankacons and members of The Order watching Vector Primus leave the shaft and allow it to travel back up.
Thunderwing carries the two Matric's chained round his neck, resting on his chest. They glow and he can feel their power reaching for him. He is tempted, but he resists. [glow=purple,2,000]"Today you learn that your life's function was to serve my greater destiny. Now, lead the way Vector, and I promise you a quick, and almost painless death."[/glow]
The Tankacons push the weak and battered autobot leader ahead as he takes the lead. Everyone follows, except Caliban.
The leader of The Order, tags along behind everyone else with a different agend of his own in mind.

Within the Autobot Matrix, Perceptor perceives rather than hears or sees Thunderwing's actions. The second that the Matrix adorns the Decepticon leader's body, Perceptor feels the bridge which he had to Thunderwing re-establish itself. Drawing energy from the surrounding, ordered maelstrom of cerulean power, Perceptor's spark gathers itself together, preparing for the long exertion that is likely to come.
[glow=blue,2,300]You are such an absolute cretinous fool Thunderwing. We'll forget for the moment the issue of your raving megalomania, but what in Primus' name do you think obtaining the key to Vector Sigma will do for you? Turn you into a god? Give you unlimited power? Grant you endless rice pudding? Whilst you're off on a power trip you're leading Unicron's herald into the heart of our creator. The light to Unicron's utter darkness. The order to his chaos. Are you really so utterly insane that you'll sacrifice yourself and your entire world to advance yourself and at the same time destroy your miserable existence.[/glow]
Feeling the rage build up within Thunderwing, Perceptor presses his advantage.
[glow=blue,2,300]If you really want to prove your control over both Matrices you'll use their combined energies to obliterate Caliban and his motley crew. And I mean total atomic discorporation. Destroy them so thoroughly that not even a god would be able to resurrect him and his minions. Do it Thunderwing! Do it now![/glow]

[glow=purple,2,000]"Shut up!"[/glow] "Excuse me, sir?"
[glow=purple,2,000]"Shut up I said or I'll rip you out!!"[/glow] "Lord Thunderwing!!"
The Tankacon speaking to Thunderwing was confused. Why was Thunderwing angry all of a sudden, he thought. Caliban and the others looked on as Thunderwing began to talk to himself. [glow=purple,2,000]"I will have power! I am a God! I will be in control! Control is the key! And the first one I remove form exsistance completely and forever will be you renegade!"[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,300]Hahahahahahah! Oh that is priceless Thunderwing! Thank you so much - I haven't had much occasion for humour since you slipped into our dimension but your antics now are just hysterical. [/glow]
Purposefully goading Thunderwing on, Perceptor continues
[glow=blue,2,300]Will you just step out of yourself for a second and listen to your ramblings? You're talking to a spark contained within the Creation Matrix. In case it's escaped your attention the Matrix is the essence of Primus. The soul of a god. The last being who tried to destroy me was Armada. Instead he ended up giving me de facto immortality, endless energon and a place in our equivalent of a living heaven. The only way to destroy me is to obliterate the Matrix itself. Even Unicron Incarnate would have a difficult time pulling that one off. And you are no Unicron.
Oh, and why is Caliban looking at you with a lean and sallow look? Or will it be et tu Octopunch? And then who will pick up the matrices and your mantle when the energon sword slips into your back and through your spark chamber? If I were you I wouldn't be megalomaniacal. I'd be worried about my own back. Caliban follows no being but his god. The Chaos Bringer. He's certainly not here to help you is he? Where was he when you took down Magnus? Where was he when you tore the Renegades to pieces? Keep your friends close and your enemies closer Thunderwing. You've been warned![/glow]

Thunderwing then began to stare at Caliban. As he did, he picked up the autobot Matrix and placed it against the decepticon one. [glow=purple,2,000]"Do.... my.... bidding.... and become one.... like you did before....."[/glow]
******
Inside the autobot Matrix, Perceptor could feel something... something cold, dark, unwanted. In his unquie vision, he could see the light around him growing dimmer.
The off in the distance, a strange looking purple cloud, with lightening coming from it, began to approach him.
********
Thunderwing then began to feel like himself again. He let the Matrix hang on there own as he looked to Caliban. [glow=purple,2,000]"Lead, my loyal servant. Show me the path to the slavation that all of Unicron's children shall know."[/glow] Caliban knew something was up. [glow=red,2,000]"Are you feeling all right; my Lord?"[/glow] [glow=purple,2,000]"But of course. Now shall we?"[/glow] The group of decepticons began walking again as Perceptor now had problems of his own.

Sensing the approaching purple cloud, Perceptor's consciousness is overcome with a feeling of absolute dread. Not terror, for that would be irrational for the scientist, but a feeling of overwhelming evil heading his way.
[glow=blue,2,300]As Maverick might have said: 'Oh Frack'. This feels familiar, almost as if I've encountered this before.....[/glow]
Pondering the purple haze now nearly on top of him, Perceptor's memory places the sense of deja vu.
[glow=blue,2,300]Not good. I might have known that scion of an insane scraplet would try something like this. I'm nowhere near the power required to contest another Matrix, even embedded in one as I am. I think discretion is the better part of valour for the time being.[/glow]
With that, Perceptor's spark nimbly moves out of the approaching storms path and retreats closer to the central nexus of the Creation Matrix. Once he arrives Perceptor begins drawing off filaments of energy from the primary core and starts weaving them in an almost actinic white shell around him.
[glow=blue,2,300]My lifeforce alone may not be able to fend off the power of a Matrix, but I'll wager that one Matrix can cancel the other out. From here I should be able to draw off enough power to replenish this spark shield against any attacks from the Decepticon Matrix. Score one for me I think.[/glow]
Feeling smugly self satisfied with himself for his ingenious solution, Perceptor then realises that he may be in greater danger from the Creation Matrix than from it's counterpart.
[glow=blue,2,300]I hope in the name of Primus that these Matrices aren't thinking of repeating the merger they had on the moon. I've got to try and urge the matrix to resist the temptation to join with it's evil twin. I don't want to consider the consequences if they merge - they may not like me as a houseguest[/glow]
With that, Perceptor extends a lance of his consciousness directly into the primary nexus of the Creation Matrix, encircling it with a shield of cerulean energy, attempting to commune with the Matrix as he did some years ago on the Moon, when he still had a physical form.

Then before he knew it, the purple cloud engulfed him like the Swarm did many years ago, when it attacked the Transformers and other planets across the galaxy.
Perceptor was in no pain. His vision was blinded even being so close to the center of the autobot matrix,
Then he thought he heard something...
Perceptor... our time here is almost at an end. But you shall go on....
Free those who would be your comrades in arms... and never forget the lessons the wisdom of the ages has taught you....
Then Perceptor's spark and hurled away. Away from the center of the matrix, away from the purple cloud.
He was still just a spark and inside the Matrix. But now the dark cloud came after him, forgeting about the center of the good Matrix and consentrating on him!

Perceptor's form tried to stay away and move as fast as it could, but then a he found himself again caught in its currents, this time he felt agony.
As the pain torn into him, he was confronted with images. Images of a wartorn landscape. He was in Polyhex.
He saw his renegade companions, running through different areas of the decepticon state he was once stationed in when he was leading a small resistances force during the civil war.
He saw them fight, tortured, beaten and killed. He felt the urge to help them, he knew he could. But was all this real?

(OOC: Continued from Confronting the Dead thread)
ZZZZZZZZZRRRRRRRRRR-CLUNK!!
Out from a tube and in to what looked like a stop point in a underground systems of tubes, out shot Tactik.
The old Wrecker rolled across the ground and came to a stop when he rolled into a massive, metal wheel. He looked up to see a claw just above him.
Quick to his feet, he survayed the area and looked about. He was under the Terrordome in an underground cave, on top of a gaint pillar big enough to hold about 20 mechs. Beside the machine and its claw and the tube he fell out of, the edge of the pillar was lined with at least a dozen tubes. Waiting for the claw to place whatever came out the first tube, in to the next.
He saw other tubes, near and far off in the distance, and other pillars like the one he was standing on. There was an entire network down here.
He didn't see the stasis pod containing any of the robots they had seen upstairs. The claw must have moved it in to one of the other tubes. But with one? Finding the pods would be difficult, and would have to wait.
Then, out came Rust and Firebox, form the tube the same as Tactik, both spat out across the pillar's top surface and crashing in to the machine's wheel with a *KA-KLANG!*

Rust groans as he seperates himself from Firebox and stands up, then as he looks around him at the pillars and the cryo chambers a look of pure anger covers his face. "If we do nothing else here today one thing we should do but that I will do is kill Thunderwing or die trying."

[glow=brown,2,000]"I think you may get your wish Rust, look down there."[/glow] Down below, a group of troops were seen walking out of view. They didn't look like normal decepticons troops however Tactik knew who they were. [glow=brown,2,000]"Those are Caliban's followers, The Order. And you can bet we'll find Thunderwing as well. Come on."[/glow] Tactik made his way to get down by sliding down the tubes by getting on top of them (Not inside) and sliding down.

* Firebox shook his head then got to his feet , when he pushed up he noticed a mechanical failure in his left are not able to support his weight he comes to his feet in a different manner as to not use his left arm..He looks around while with his right hand he holds his wound on his left and says *
[glow=red,2,300]" Burnt, clean trew..those Tankacons got some mean firepower..It should be ok for now but I could use some Energon, to slow the wound and patch up the hull "[/glow]
* Firebox put his arm down and got his Blaster out following Tactik *

[glow=brown,2,000]"Its all on me if we get out of this one, come on."[/glow] They waited for the others as the decepticons walked on far ahead of them.
As some of the Wreckers already knew, Tactik had been a prisoner of Caliban's for an incredible amount of years. The old Wrecker would have some payback if all went according to plan.

Within the combined Matrix, Perceptor is in indescribable agony as the Decepticon Matrix tears into the very essence of his consciousness. The images of Polyhex and the Renegades waver and become images of Polyhex and Perceptor's resistance cell. An image of Lord Straxus appears on the horizon, only to morph into Megatron, then Shockwave, Armada and then, finally, Thunderwing.
In his pain-wracked consciousness perceptor not only sees the Renegades fall but then begins to remember the fallen autobots he had led - their death scenes playing out one by one. Input being decapitated by Straxus himself at a public execution; Slipstream being blown to pieces by seekers in the skies above Polyhex; Ghost being hit by a Decepticon EMP mine and phasing directly into a duracrete column. All these and dozens of others flash through his mind, and in this welter of agony and tragic memories, Perceptor finds a core of strength in his being. Instead of tearing him apart, the images of his dead comrades, the autobots who died under his command give him the strength to find the will to live.
[glow=blue,2,300]By all that is holy I swear that you will not break me. I have not survived millions of years of combat, seen friends and subordinates die only to be ripped to shreds by a primal force of destruction.[/glow]
For a fraction of a nanosecond, Perceptor's essence pulses stronger, before fading again.
[glow=blue,2,300]Do you hear me Primus? Do you hear me? I've served you for millions of years and I will not succumb now. I will not let the sacrifice of so many others be in vain. I will not allow the darkness to win. I will not be the Last Renegade. The spark of freedom will endure and SO WILL I! I DEFY YOU! DO YOU HEAR ME? I DEFY YOU![/glow]
