[glow=red,2,000]“Awww man look at me would ya? I’m looking so good and I’m ready for the party today. Man oh man.”[/glow]
The young and jovial Maverick, one of the newest Renegades to join, was up and about the base going on about today’s activities that were about to take place in Jekka city. He wasn’t one of the Renegades who fought in the war directly but felt its effects nonetheless. He had lost many friends along the way and vowed revenge.
But the war had ended and Maverick lost his chance. He was mad and down for weeks afterwards for missing his chance but he remained with the Renegades as aerial defense if the Destructicon came back during the time the Renegades were helping out the refugees they had protected during the war.
He walked about with a proud strut and a glow of positive energy was almost seen around him. He joked around with the rest of the mech around him, and bragged about how well he was going to fly about in the sky above the Jekka amphitheatre and impress everyone present at the gathering.
[glow=red,2,000]“I’m telling you dude, the Renegades are going to be the guest of honor at the celebrations. Were going to be rewarded to honors. Think of the medals we’ll get, the attention from all the femmebots! I don’t know about you guys but I’m amped.”[/glow]

From a distance Latyrx7 watched the Maverick and shook his head. So young and inexperience he thought to himself.
L7 got back to the simple task at hand of preparing transportation to the Tyrest Quadrant. He and many of the Renegades were on the surface, well above the secret Renegade underground base and a few miles away. They had built a mock station so no one knew of their underground home to ensure safety. There were secret passages within the station that lead below to tunnels below so they come get back to base if necessary.
They was much activity in the Renegade station and preparations were made to join the gathering in the Jekka amphitheatre. There was an odd feeling of some tension about today’s events. Not all of the Renegades wanted to take part in the gathering, or anything the Autobots were doing. Many Renegades were angry with the Autobots for there lack of activity during the fight against the Destructicons and hated them for it. L7 didn’t trust the Autobots, or more accurately likely didn’t trust the new Autobot leader Emirate Vector Primus.
He had heard very little about the Emirate but from dealing with him so far, he could tell the Autobot didn’t like the Renegades very well. But L7 knew that they the only way to find out the Emirates true intentions was to hold back his true feelings and find out what went on with the Autobots during the war.
Not only did the Autobots lack of participation in the fight bother him as it did many others, there was the matter of how the Destructicons were able to attack without a strong counter offense. The early warning system should have sounded the alarm on that day the Destructicons attacked, but there was no warning, L7 needed to find out what had happened.
But for now he organized the trip to Jekka.
[glow=blue,2,000]“All right fall in Gades. Lets see who’s going. State your name.”[/glow] L7 began his old military trained roll call with a smile as he told himself he needed to loosen up abit. The pass few months had been a terrible strain and not to mention the strange dreams he had been having*

[glow=green,2,300]*Behind his faceplate Hoist would've smiled at Mackvericks antics, all was well and for the most part all The Renegades semmed in a jovial mood, why wouldn't they, only months ago they had won the war and became heros
And yet, sometime, Hoist new trouble wouldn't be far away, especially with the reemergance of the Autobots and their leader, Vector Primus.*
"Hoist and After-shock here", replied the maintenence bot and commander. The mini-con cooed softly..[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]*StormCloud shook his head in disgust, he'd only been with the Renegades for a few months and now with the death of his spark brother , Rainstorm, (StormCloud would suppose he IS dead), he was more miserable than usual.
He didn't like the Renegades and sure as didn't fit in, but after being betrayed by his own spark brothers Scarrunner and Rainsrorm he didn't exactly have no where to go. He couldn't say he fought for their same beliefs but going against the Autobots all those eons ago, againts Optimus Prime himself way back when, made them the very reason he joined, so unalike yet so similar.
StormCloud had to assume he was the last of his kind, certainly the last of his brothers..*
*Sigh* StormCoud here..
Look do i have to go? It's nothing to do with me, it's just be like rubbing my face in it!
*StormCloud spoke with authority, all the renegades knew who he was simply from where he had come from, the apposing destructicon team*[/glow]

Like L7, Perceptor had spent a great amount of time pondering the political and social repercussions of the Autobot re-emergence. Standing up from his seat, the Renegade Chief Science Officer offered his carefully considered words.
[glow=blue,2,300]I must confess to a degree of unease at this event. Vector Prime is largely an unknown quantity but what little information we possess does not fill me with confidence as to his likely friendliness with the Renegades. If nothing else we are an embaressment to him and his followers as we accomplished what he could not.[/glow]
Absent mindedly picking up Im from the floor and placing him on his shoulder, Perceptor continued.
[glow=blue,2,300]I intend to remain here. It occurs to me that very few people know of my involvement with the Renegades given my limited public appearances with the rest of you. It may be prudent for me to continue playing the part of the outsider. I could use my low profile to try and facilitate a better understanding of what Prime's views are. If I turn up in tow with the rest of you that low profile increases rapidly. I'll maintain a watch on the Cybernet News 'cast feed and stand ready to assist if needed. If he wishes, I'd be happy to have the assistance of Stormcloud in this matter.[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,300]You talk as if the Autobots are our enemies. Sharpshot walked into view. I don't think Maximus died just so we could fear our allies. Sniper came out beside Sharpshot, beeping happily. After being infected with the virus and almost left for dead. Plus after battling some high powered mutants, Sharpshot had began to become very tired from war. And with the demise or Armada he was eagerly hoping all the unrest would end. End soon.[/glow]

Sitting back down, Perceptor steeples his fingers in front of him and calmly rebuts Sharpshot's comments.
[glow=blue,2,300]I do not talk of the Autobots at all. I talk of their leader. A being who was programmed to lead rather than being selected by the Matrix by all accounts. He is reputed to be a politician first foremost and last. And that is the problem. We know only rumours, whispers and hearsay about Vector Prime. Until we know more about him I am simply recommending caution, an eminently logical approach to take in the circumstances. [/glow]

L7 listens to the mech Heavy Assault would refer to as the 'logic bot'. And it made sence. Indeed the Renegades needed someone to keep an optic open and alert on the Emirate's activities while the Renegades had other matters to attend to if they came up. And L7 hoped they wouldn't.
[glow=blue,2,000]"Find then its settled. Perceptor you can keep an watch on Emirate Vector Primus, any resources you need don't hesitate to ask. Now; where's everyone else this isn't some academy ceremony caping of a training course."[/glow]
Cybercon, L7's Minicon shrugged his shoulders as an answer to L7's question. "Beats me big L."

Merlin stopped in his tracks
[glow=Purple,2,300]Merlin:"Yes just give me a moment to gather my things and speak to cybercon bout something."[/glow]
[glow=blue,2,300]Aqualec:"Right i'll meet ya there"[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,300]Just because Vector Primus was not chosen by the Matrix does not mean we should keep tabs on him. Latryx 7 was chosen by Maximus, not the Matrix. Do you feel the need to spy on him. Politician or not he's still our ally. Caution should be given to our enemies. Surley we need a bit more faith in our comrades, if we are ever to end this.Sharpshot said calmly. After dealing with the Assualticons and Destructicons he felt fearing an ally served no purpose. It was simply paranoia. And that would postpone peace.[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,300]To each his own Sharpshot. That is one of the defining characteristics of our society. I pray that you are right and hope that my concerns are groundless. In any event I will remain and stand ready to assist if worst comes to worse. [/glow]
Turning to the rest of his colleagues, :perceptor addresses them.
[glow=blue,2,300]I wish you all good luck and plain sailing to the Amphitheatre. May Primus watch over you.[/glow]
With that, the scientist and his lab assistant get up and stride to the comm centre to begin their vigil.
