[glow=red,2,]'Oh dear...'[/glow]Said Perceptor as he hopped on, kneeling down on the back part of Torque in his vehicle mode and grabbed on to a hand support close to the top part of Torques' roof. [glow=red,2,]'... I'm going to regret this!'[/glow]

"Relax, I've never written myself off yet."
With that, Torque took off as fast as he dared go while carrying a passenger. His speed was also limited with the weight of Perceptor, though having his back wheels pushed into the ground gave him much better traction on the slushy and icy ground.

Firing off at the Seekers, he was a little late to realize everyone was taking off and making their way to follow Nexus. "Damnit, nice way to keep me informed, Autobots." He started to run after them as he was shooting the seekers left and right, even though half of the shots were missing them he knew it would keep them at bay for long enough. Jumping in the air, he transformed behind Perceptor and Torque and started to follow them as quickly as he could even though Torque was built for speed it had seemed.

Smokescreen however, wasn't built for speed, not that he was especially slow either, nut had a very average speed in his alternate mode.* As best speed he could he followed behind Perceptor on Torque and co.

OOC: I'll speed things along a bit... Sorry about the gargantuan wait. The Autobots made their way quickly across the barren landscape under Highstacker's guidance, the seekers hot on their tail. The industrial metroplex of AA-233 stretched out ahead of them, the sky around it choked with a thick black smoke. A group of transformers was huddled around one of the many entrances- three burly bots, toting blasters. They took one look at the approaching battle, and locked their weapons on the the seekers. A few well trained bolts of energy sent them streking towards the ground in a burning mess.
"This is it," Whispered Highstacker. "The city checkpoint. From here, we highstack across the roofs to the meeting hall. There, you will meet the greatest Autobot living- Impact-" "Highstacking?" Sneered Nexus. "Named a method of transport after yourself, did you? I never new such arrogance." Highstacker transformed, and smiled. "The technique is not named after me, Nexus- I am named after the technique. And believe me- it's the only way to travel..."

Perceptor couldn't help himself. [glow=red,2,]'Yes, I've read about highstacking. Only those with extremely high agility can become true experts of the art. And it seems were able to receive a crash course in training!"[/glow]

"Indeed you are, Perceptor. We need to move as fast as possibe if we're to make the beggining of the meeting- please follow me." Highstacker saluted the guards, and walked past them into the city streets. From what the Autobots could see, it was suprising the city was standing upright; exposed and cracked rigging, burnt out buildings and empty husks were all that remained of a once bustling and industrious city. Highstacker selected a drainpipe, gripped as high as he could, them clambered up in a frog-like hop, as if climbing a palm tree on the coasts of the Rust Sea. He pulled himself onto the roof and beckoned to the Autobots on the ground. "Come up one at a time, then get into a line, biggest behind me, smallest at the back, so I can judge what is our safest route. Flyers should hover close above us, in case someone slips and needs hauling up."

Torque clambered up the drainpipe. It wasn't overly difficult, though he had a feeling that it would probably be the easiest part of the journey. He too had heard of Highstacking, though he'd never done it. Torque was far from agile enough to do it. When he reached the rooftop, Torque waited for the others, ready to help the next one to climb the pipe.
Torque looked at the rest of the group. They were going to have difficulty in Highstacking. Perceptor, Smokescreen and himself weren't exactly built for it. Neither were Nexus or Wormhole, but they could fly, so they didn't have as much of a problem.
"Anyone think those Seekers were able to let anyone else know we were there?"

Smokescreen grabbed the thick pipe and used his legs more for support on the wall than clambering up the pipe. Although he was an average size transformer he wasn't exactly bulky but was well built with some bulk. With a great struggle he climbed the pipe, slapping one arm over the roof, then another and clumsily pulling himself up and over before rolling onto his back. After a few moments he sat upright and hated this idea of highstacking, but figured that was the worst part over. And yet, he knew he wasn't going to have this easy and would fall should should any of the gaps be too wide...

Nexus begrudgingy transformed, and hovered just above the group. He felt insuted that he woud have to follow this clearly defective transformer to his inevitable doom. No true autobot went around popping grenades in peoples mouths for no reason... Highstacker shouted to Perceptor and Wormhole to hurry up, then started telling the others the bare rudiments of highstacking. He spoke slowly, allowing everyhting to sink in, but not with much confidence: giving crash courses in potentiolly deadly techniques wasn't something he indulged in. "It's all about momentum. You need to keep a steady speed- start as far back from the edge as possible, then sprint all the way to the first gap, jump, and lower your speed slightly from then on. The most important thing you can have when highstacking is quick reactions; you need to adapt to anything that looms up in front of you. The way I'm seeing it, you're going to need two basic techniques to get you to the meeting hall: The Pedal Grappler and the Rolling Derby. They're basically oppisites of each other; the Grappler is for going up, the Derby for down. Use the Pedal Grappler when you come to a building that has a roof higher than the on your on; jump, legs pedalling off the roof your on, grab the parapet of the second building, legs still pedalling, and 'run' up the wall. The Rolling Derby is basicaly a half sumersault from the top of the building your on to the buiding below: you need quite alot of height from the first building to jump to the second. Everyone got that?"

[glow=red,2,300]'Clear as Crystal City. Now lets hope this exercise in trail and error leans less on the error side of things.'[/glow] Said Perceptor as he concentrated at the task at hand.

Torque began limbering up.
"I'm about as ready as I'll ever be. Just hope I don't embarrass myself."

Highstacker nodded, "Okay. Follow on, Autobots!" He stepped as far back from the edge as possible, then started to sprint. He leaped from the first roof, executing a perfect Pedal Grappler to jump to a higher building. He was a fast runner, and was soon growing small to the Autobots he was leading...

"I'm getting too old for this." Torque grumbled as he walked past Perceptor and Smokescreen as he prepared for his run up.
Torque stood for a moment and composed himself. When he was ready, Torque began sprinting towards the edge of the roof. He planted one foot on the edge and launched himself off. The horizontal distance, Torque was able to cover easily, but where he needed to go was higher up. Torque hit the side of the building and began to run up the wall, executing the Pedal Grappler. When Torque neared the top, his foot slipped. He was just barely able to grab onto the ledge above him with his left hand. Torque managed to grab the ledge with his other hand and start pulling himself up.
Torque decided to save face a little. When he pulled himself up onto the ledge, he executed a handstand and then rolled onto the roof. When he stood again, he looked back and was impressed by how much of a height difference there was between the two rooftops.

"I'd take old over the wrong shape", thought Smokescreen to himself as he turned and walked back a bit to get a bit of distance. Standing behind Perceptor, with the bot in his eyeline, Smokescreen concentrated back on the side of the other building that was much higher up and emitted a soundless sigh. Getting ready and posed he ran as fast as he could, picking up speed as he ran trying to reach full tilt. Legging it past Perceptor the Autobot approached the ledge and with his last instinct use his remaining steady foot to launch himself up from a spring-step..
He wasn't going to make it.
Smokescreen hit the side of the building with a crunching slam, managing only to grab the ledge of the top of the building as the rest of his body swung out. Looking down he could see it was a long way down, although he might survive, there might not be much of him left to scoop up. Swinging his body back towards the building , he tried to grab the ledge with the other hand. Up top all the others could see after the collision was a number of blue fingers clasping the edge. As he still didn't have his vocal processors, his other hand, now grabbing the ledge let go for a second and waved over the bottom of the edge - trying to get their attention.
"A little help here guys?!", he thought - wishing if only he could say it.
