I've been thinking about this for 3 -4 days now, and wondered who might be interested.
Before the Interacrtive section, we came very close to having something similar that I was going to call Battle Brawl. It was like TF wrestling except plain fighting instead of wrestling moves, with seasonal events like Solarslam and King Of The Pitt. (Like the big events in WWE, Summerslam, Royale Rumble, etc). I decided against this however as an everyday one would take away too much from Rainstorms's site of a similar nature.
So how about 4 - 5 organised events a year - I was thinking in February, Easter (April), the summer (June or July) and November, with possible special event ones like Halloween Havoc and Total Carnage championships (Not sure about the last one). These 5 events I thought could be single main events (A king of the ring style ultimate champion, one complete brawl with say 15 characters at one time) tag team events tournaments, and my favourite idea a teams battle royale (Either normal teams or combiners, if a team went against a combiner team it'd be a handicap match - of sorts).
Would anyone be interested in some arranged seasonal tournaments? Any ideas to add or comments?

That sounds awsome! The only concern I'd have is that everyone would be inclined to put themselves at an advantage to try and win, so a GM would have to present. But hey, I'm probaby just being paranoid. Truly, though, great idea! Each event coud have different rules- tag team, weapons allowed, etc. It could be really fun!

sweet I'm definately down for that! I also agree with Neo Convoys statement, that there should be rules like tag-team and weapons and stuff

[glow=blue,2,]Count me in.
I used to play at Rainstorm's site, what they used to do over there was they let the two players go at it, or it was GM vs player, and the GM made the call on who won or lost. Basically, he made the final post and took control over the player's or players character and chose the winner.
There was a bit of a trust in other players too. Like I would allow another player to write the moves of my character for his post in the interest of making a awesome fight. [/glow]

5 definites, 1 maybe. If we can get 10 people at least that'd be good.
It would be restricted to characters made in Character Development, that way there can be no dispute in what abilities and weapons there are. I think i'd leave it up to the individual if they are happy for their aggressor to make a move of their character, but I fully agree with EL7's sentiment in trust in other players. I like the idea of the GM making the very last post in a thread though, deciding the outcome, as long as everyone trust me enough - or perhaps a duly elected volunteer?
With this much interest so far, I take it there would be no shortage for a new year Battle Royal (Royal Rumble of sorts)?

[glow=blue,2,]I'd like to volunteer. That way I can power game me and HA's match. I've seen how the nature of this style of rpg works and would like to use my experience to make sure the matches flow and end properly. Plus with many current GMs busy on their RPGs I can lighten that load. Plus my semester is almost finished so I will have some extra time on my hands. [/glow]
