++Somewhere beneath Industrial Works AA-233++ In a giant dug-out below a collapsing old warehouse, hundreds of Autobots are hanging on the words of a single transformer, standing in the centre of them. Many are hanging from the ceiling supports so that they can hear him. This is the Autobot Hellraiser, a fearsome military leader, who spends most of his time leading highly trained terrorist cells deep in Polyhex and Darkmount. Not today, however. Today he is with his comrades, to discuss what he believes will be the turning point in the Cyertronian civil war. Operation Plagueswarm. Next to him is Lightningrod, a small, nervous character, a renowned scientist who is revered by all peace lovers. If it were up to him, he would not be here. There are many calculations to complete if he wants to have his peaceful colonies working on ethically derived energon by the end of the deca-cycle. But he has agreed to appear here today, to explain the workings of Hellraiser’s plan. At the back of this meeting, seven robots are standing, crushed in by the sheer numbers of other transformers around them. Even though they are within a few feet of each other, they have already lost sight of each other as they are swept into the huge, moving hive of activity. Voices are all around them. They are confused and worried about their comrades. Some they have been working with for deca-cycles. Some they met only a few cycles ago. But all consider themselves not really so important. At least, not yet. Highstacker felt like he couldn’t breathe. He was used to the freedom of the rooftops, the open spaces, and the silence of the night. Now, he was out of his element. He shuddered as he was pressed in by other transformers, as his thoughts were drowned out by the collective mutterings of the robots around him, amounting to a single, deafening scream… Nexus, however, was taking a more constructive approach. Grabbing the closest familiar face, the guard who had led them in, he muttered urgently. “Come, we shall be suffocated among these jittery fools if we remain.”He started shoving his way back to the door, carving a path with fist and boot. He had discovered a newfound respect for the guard- he did not mince his words, and had put Nexus in his place earlier. They found their way back to the door, and gave a sigh of relief as the noise lessened; the Autobots were quietening down to listen to Lightningrod. They lent back against the wall, and the guard grinned at Nexus. “Thanks for that. Sorry about earlier. What’s ya name? Don’t think we got properly introduced.”Nexus grinned back. “Nexus,” He replied. “Third Lycan of the Cult of The Void. Nice to meet you.”(OOC: Take it away, claustrophobic buddies )

Perceptor made his way through the crowd to hear what Lighteningrod was going to say. He had heard much about his fellow scientist and was madden with curiosity. His mind was preoccupied with the possibilities that he thought up, so much so that he didn't bother with being polite as he passed his fellow Autobots. No pardon me or excuse me's, Perceptor was on an intellectual pursuit.
So much so that the worrisome thoughts of Hellraiser were suppressed. He had heard about this character. Himself and others such as Prowl, Ratchet and Ultra Magnus didn't like what was said about Hellraiser. That he didn't fight like an Autobot, more like a Decepticon. No prisoners and no mercy. Perceptor understood war was war, and the Autobots had to put up with Grimlock and his Dynobots from time to time but they followed orders. It was up to Perceptor to find out if the rumors were true about Hellraiser.

Hellraiser bellowed to the crowds around him. "PLAUGESWARM IS THE GLORIOUS SALVATION OF ALL AUTOBOTS!!! ACROSS THE WORLD, YOU WILL BE THE ONES WHO ARE REMEMBERED BY ALL; YOU ARE THE ONES FOR WHOM THE SONGS WILL BE SUNG!!! HEAR YE, FOR I SPEAK TRUE: LIGHTNINGROD, ONE WHO I HAVE ALWAYS DOUBTED AS A COWARD AND WEAKLING, EVEN HE IS HERE TODAY TO SHOW HIS SUPPORT!!! LET THE OIL FLOW, AND YOUR GLORIOUS CLAMMERING FOR BATTLE ECHO THROUGH THE SONIC CANYONS!!!" The more warlike among the army of Autobots gave up a bellow of appreciation, including the Guard and Nexus at the back of the chamber. Lightningrod stepped forward, preffering to use a microphone to communicate with the crowds. He coughed slightly, clearing his throat, and began, clearly nervous, but hiding as much as best he could. "Um... thank you, Hellraiser. Now, I'm sure my acossiate has struck a chord with some of you in the audience today, but I hope I can sway pretty much everyone. The plan is simple as breathing, if a little daring. However, it has taken many years of intercepting Decepticon transmissions to come into fruition. Using a fake Decepticon signal, we reported the sighting of a massive group of peaceful transformers, about a cycle from here. There are, of course, no such transformers- but our advesaries have never been known for their bright nature. They have set up a ring of five camps, each one about fifty badly trained Decepticons. What they are expecting is a frantic escape attempt and a mass capturing of manual labour- what they will get is a huge ambush of five hundred heavily arm Autobots. I have always been a man of peace, always believed that we can achieve anything through negotiation. I still believe this- and it hurts me to be involved in Operation Plagueswarm. But years of watching my friends- peaceful people- die, has soewhat diminished my confidence. So I will do what I can. I would ask anyone with any medical or scientific expertise to meet me here. If anyone needs medical attention, this platform will become the medical base. Ammo will be provided by Hellraiser and his troops in the depot off this room. Any questions should go to me and Hellraiser. We leave in one cycle. Dismissed!"

Smokescreen had pushed and struggled through the crowds of Autobots trying to make his way towards Perceptor. After a bit of mingling and listening to the speeches, he finally managed to catch up with the science-bot.
"This Lightningrod is a class act, I like his thinking", muttered the Autobot to Perceptor, "Hellraiser however talks alot of hot air... Aaaaah, I don't entirely trust him..."

Perceptor turned to Smokescreen. [glow=red,2,]'While I'm in line to agree with your Smokescreen, I am not so sure I trust this plan as it has been presented. I must see Lighteningrod as he has requested that any Autobot with the skills he is in persuit of to see him immediately. Come with me, I may be in need of a second opinion.'[/glow] Perceptor went to catch up with Lighteningrod.

Torque was getting bustled around the room, seeing some faces he knew, others he didn't. He had to admit, he didn't like the number of Autobots in the room. If the Decepticons found them, or if there was a traitor or infiltrator, they could create some serious carnage. His audio receptors caught Lightningrod asking for anyone with medical experience. While Torque was a security bot first and foremost, he could be used as a field medic when needed.
Torque made his way through the crowd, eventually re-finding Smokescreen and Perceptor. After greeting the two of them, he followed them towards Lightningrod.
"I don't like crowds like this. They pose too much of a security risk. You two think this plan will work?"

[glow=red,2,]'You and me both Torque. Come along, and by the way, do any of you two know anything about Lighteningrod?'[/glow]

Lightningrod turned as he heard the group walking to join his medics. He looked surprised, and then overjoyed, at the sight of the scientist leading them. He lept down off the plinth, striding toward him. "Excuse me... by Primus, are you Perceptor? Well, I can't tell you how much of a privilege this is! I'm a great admirer of your work! Why, when I started the colonies in the Sonic Canyons, I even thought of asking you to join us- you know, a little expert assistance to a newcomer to the scientific field. Unfortunatley, I couldn't locate you... but this is all unimportant. What a great pleasure!" He pumped Perceptor's hand up and down ecstatically. "Safe journey? I hope you are not hurt?" ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Perceptor took Lighteningrod's hand and shook it while giving a nod in his direction. 'Let's just say that the journey was interesting. Most in my party have gone undamaged. Allow me to introduce you to Smokescreen and Torque. Now, is their a place where we can talk in pirvate?'
Perceptor looked at all the other Autobots, indicating with his expression that he wanted privacy from the troops.

"Yeah, don't mind us!", grunted Smokescreen before turning to Torque, "You 'spose they've got any food and freshments here? Maybe some energon goodies and a good case of whiskeygon? Say ten stellar cycles old? All that jumping about earlier has left me in dire need of an energy boost!"

Lightningrod nodded to Smokescreen. "Check with Hellraiser in the depo. I think he has some. I must tell you, your group has stirred up quite alot of trouble in the Badlands!" He turned back to Perceptor. "This way, Perceptor." He lead his fellow scientist away, to a slightly quieter corner of the dug-out. He shooed the few that were in the hideaway, and turned to Perceptor. "Was there something you wanted to talk to me about? Much as it is great to meet you, I'm quite busy- we have alot to prepare for." ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The guard, whose name had turned out to be Safecharm, was an impressive drinker. The two had filched a bottle of Energon Slugger from a drunk across the other side of the dug-out, and were enjoying a quiet drink by the chamber door. Nexus laughed loudly. "And then, AND THEN... guess what happens? Actually, don't bother... I'll just tell you. A Piperat- size of my FIST!- just pops out and bites my foot of! Just like that!" ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Highstacker had finally found his way out of the crowd. He could see some of the people he had met, but Hellraiser was the one he was interested in...

Torque chuckled at Lightningrod's comment.
"Trouble has a habit for finding us."
He turned back to Smokescreen.
"I couldn't agree with you more. I'm not built for highstaking. And that little tumble I took before the Seekers attacked us can't have helped. Speaking of that attack, I could do with recharging my weapons a little as well."

Something was bothering Perceptor, you could tell by his expression. But despite his mind working over time, he didn't know if it was the plan or the ones involved. Before making Lighteningrod wait any longer he spoke.
'Forgive me if I sound rather critical, while the plan seems assured to work, if crude. Tell me, who thought of it exactly? I mean, it has all the makings of something that the likes of Hellraiser would have formulated. Of course you've proved to be daring in your own right in setting up the Sonic Canyon colonies, but if I may pry, at the beginning of your speech it sounded as if you could have some doubts about the Autobot as well. Unless your hesitation was from his rather personalized comments about you?'
Perceptor now wondered if he had stepped over the line of social protocol, but he couldn't help himself as his CPU demanded answers.

Lightningrod smiled grimly. "Hellraiser and some of his tactical boffins thought it up. I was asked if I wanted to 'share in the glory' of helping, but I declined- smart I may or may not be, but I'm no strategist. As for hesitation... yes, maybe I am a little reserved. I've never given up on peace, Perceptor. Never. But I want there to be a Cybertron worth saving left when I've accomplished my dream. Whatever Hellrasier says, I'm not here to show support. I'm here to make sure as few people as possible get killed." ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Nexus and Safecharm were finishing off their Energon Slugger, when Nexus spotted Smokescreen and Torque approaching the depot. "Oh... look. Some of my friends. Less go say 'ello to me cousin 'ellraiser... make sure those two don't get 'emselves killed!" The two roared with laughter, and shoved their way through the crowds toward the depot, causing quite a commotion as they went.

Perceptor was feeling relieved at this moment but had a couple more concerns. 'Reassured, my comrades and myself feel we must endeavor to do the same. And I feel I can speak for them that we will be at your disposal when our services are needed. My own remaining concern is that announcing the plan in front of everyone could have exposed our hand before playing it. The common Decepticon is a thug, but the likes of Shockwave or Grovenor Straxus is an entirely different matter. If they got word of this plan...'
