Roadtrain pondered for a moment. They would need more intel on this mission. He wasn't going to have a repeat of last time.
"D-Fib, Hypershot. You two get down to the Library. I want you two to find some information on any empty buildings in the area we'll be in that would make suitable safehouses. Also get as much information as possible on civilian population, I don't want any un-needed casualties. Finally, find out everything you can about the police force in Omega City, I want to know what sort of training they have, how well armed they are, their response times and any and all weaknesses."
D-Fib jumped slightly when given the order. She went to salute Roadtrain, but checked the motion.
"Yes, sir!" She said with enthusiasm.
She turned to Hypershot and grinned.
"Let's get moving. See how good you are at gathering Intel" She said with a wink.
"Metalingus and I will stick close to you two." He said to Quickshot and Uplink. "After all, we're a couple of financial backers looking to protect their investment. No sum of money from Atlas will be able to poach our most valuable minds."
D-Fib giggled as she headed off to the Library.
"Of course it is."
Roadtrain folded his arms and examined the four remaining members of his team, Incendius, Tomboy, Onix and Driveby.
"I'm open to suggestions about this mission. Though no plans will be made for certain until D-Fib and Hypershot get back with the information we need."
Onix watched D-Fib walk away then turned back to the others, shaking his head
"That girls is too giddy. So, we set up a few safe houses with some ammo stocks. What are we doing to cause trouble? Taking out machinery? Shutting down factories? Putting down any thug with that symbol on their person?"
"Exactly what I'm asking, Onix. What can we do? I doubt putting down Omega thugs would work, not when just about everyone in the city is on Atlas's payroll. I like the sound of taking out factories and machinery though. Anyone else have some suggestions?" Roadtrain said.

'I now see why you brought down an entire building on Stinger. Your going extreme too quickly.' Began Latyrx7. 'Start simply but wide spread. Tarrific lights, power outages to start. Get the police force scattered, make things seem none threatening. Then move into the bigger things, like the factories you mentioned. I think if you spread Atlas' forces far across the city, he'll get desperate and then we'll see his true power revealed.'
'But then won't he call in the Autobots?' Asked Computic.
'Not if he's hiding something. He'll want to contain it himself. And with the static storms blocking what our satilites see, he might get away with it.'
Hypershot and D-Fib entred the bases computer data lab. Given full access to the computers, they were able to look up information on Omega city.
For the safe houses that Onix suggested, they found a three empty warehouse up for rent. As for the citizens of the city, they found that each citizen was paid like any other citizen in other Cybertron city, that they worked all the time and never left the city, no even to make supply runs or deliveries. As for the police force, the information on the computer said they all had Autobot training, were once apart of the Autobots and all recieved new bodies that allowed them to be special Omega city police officers.
(ooc: make of that information as you will, relay it back to your team mates for further investigation, via transmission of course, and continue to probe and ask questions if you think its needed.)
+++COMM+++ "Roadtrain, I've got some information on 3 suitable safehouse locations. I'm sending you the information now. We'll continue searching for more information." +++COMM+++
With that, she transmitted the information on the warehouses. She continued searching for more info on the city.
"Hey, Hypershot, see if you can get some more info on the police force. We need to know what their new bodies are comprised of, and if their training was just basic or anything more advanced. Once we find that out, everything should be shiny." She beamed.
Roadtrain acknowledged the transmission from D-Fib. He shared the details with the rest of the team.
"We have 3 suitable safehouse locations. All empty warehouses up for rent. That could be a problem, incase someone turns up to rent the properties. Before we begin the mission properly, we should split into 3 groups and scope out each location before stocking it up. When we begin starting trouble for Atlas, I'm still unsure about splitting the group for ease of movement, or sticking together for safety in numbers. Incendius, your thoughts?"
Roadtrain then thought of something else after hearing Latyrx7.
+++COMM+++ "D-Fib, Hypershot, try and find out ways for us to disrupt the traffic flow and the power supply to parts of the city. If we can cause a blackout or two, we should be able to distract the police force a bit better. Also, get us as many maps as you can, including underground routes, we'll want to plan the quickest routes possible." +++COMM+++
+++COMM+++ "Aye, sir." +++COMM+++
"Looks like we've got alot to find out." D-Fib said to Hypershot.
With that, her fingertips began to dance gracefully over the keyboard infront of her as she started searching for what Roadtrain requested.

D-Fib's and Hypershot's research turned out the locations of power boxes in Omega city that were connected to such things as factories, tarrific lights and other buildings.
The information about the OCP was basic. Each police office had been an Autobot before hand and was given a new body once they joined the OCP. The bodies comprised of standard warrior class armor, turbo boosters for travel in both robot and vehicle mode and each officer carried a weapon that could fire laser bolts, stun blasts and capture nets (ooc: more on their abilities once I post their tech specs)
There was no information about individual ex-Autobots available on the OFC on the basic level the two Renegades were investigating.
(ooc: your close BB, that vital piece of info is pratically right in front of you)
D-Fib tapped her fingers against the edge of the table.
+++COMM+++ "Roadtrain, I'm sending you the infromation on the power boxes you requested, along with what they're connected to. We can't find much in detail about the OPD, former Autobots, warrior class armour and turbo boosters. They're also armed with weapons that fire nets and stun bolts. They sound a bit like Stinger to me. We'll try doing a more in-depth search, if you want us to." +++COMM+++
+++COMM+++ "Thank you D-Fib. Yes, we need every piece of information we can get our hands on if we want this mission to be a success." +++COMM+++
Roadtrain addressed the team again, passing on the information just given to him.
"We now have some targets to aim for for our distractions. I want these taken out of action as quickly and quietly as possibly, cutting wires and such, if it can be done safely."

Incendius had been lost in his thoughts for the best part of the briefing, thinking about how Eraser was expecting his help, and how he'd dropped in the pecking order, and how Phasmatis was no longer a problem. That felt... oddly comforting, all of it, really. He taken alot of the information in, so when Roadtrain asked his opinion, he was ready. His eyes lit up as his strategic brain began to tick, and a smile hit his face that no one had seen in a long time. Leadership was new. Tactics was... comfortable. "To deal with these guards, I suggest we arm ourselves with high level EMPs likely to cause minimal destruction of the area, but easily take out bog standard warrior class guards. We're too conspicuous as a group: a team of highly armed Renegades walking down the road towards the power plant is always going to attract attention. I suggest we split into twos, a classic game of The Metal Man and The Monkey: that is, someone with a big gun, and someone with a slagload of explosives or a fistful of hacking skills. If we have any surplus soldiers, then we'll keep them in comm distance at the safe houses, ready to reinforce a team in trouble at any time. Also, blackouts is good, but I get the feeling it's sort of... fear tactics. Unlikely to work against hardened Autobot vets. What if we also target monuments or well known structures? Something that'll hit Atlas himself hard? Can we get D-Fib on that?"
"That's the point in hitting the factories and machinery. Messing with traffic lights and power grids is juvenile mischief. It doesn't scream corporate sabotage and rivals revenge until we hit the business men in their hearts; their cash flow. Plus, a few factories out of commission and we have an influx of workers on the streets causing more trouble for the local law. I wouldn't put money on them working in the best conditions or completely on their own free will."
"Sounds good. We'll keep the blackouts though. If one of us can tap into the control system, we can keep flicking the power on and off in certain areas, should keep some members of the OCP busy. We will be going for the factories, but only after we've caused a diversion or two."
+++COMM+++ "Hypershot, D-Fib, find out if there are any statues or monuments in Omega City. Especially if there are any of Atlas himself." +++COMM+++
"Defacing or destorying a statue of Atlas should get to him quite a bit."

'It doesn't need to scream corperate sabotage Onix. The simpliest form of confusion to get the OFC spread thin is the key here. Besides, you hit one factory and the OFC will properly start piling on the guards at the other ones soon after. Hmm, and speaking of which....'
