Torrent stopped for a second in a moment of hesitaion after hearing what he assumed was Reaper's mimic of the local birds.
But now that he was getting closer he just really wanted to look to get it over and done with so that they either new or didn't.
Just a really quick look. He thought to himself reassuringly
I won't be long, just see if it's the ship or not and get out.

"Just kill it and be done with it!", rasped Rampart.
"Why kill it when we can just mame it!", replied Quickchange as he came in, "Mame it, and we'll soon see whether it's just a dumb bird!", replied the officer as he approached the weapons console. Taking the sight he began adjusting the trajectory and aim.
"We still don't know if the ship will fire whilst under cloak!", argued Triton, "We could've reveal ourselves to early!"
"I've had enough of just sitting here!", raged Rampart. and leant over and smacked the fire button over Quickchange's shoulder. I an instant a laser bolt shot out and struck Reaper through one of his wings whilst he was turning leaving a sizeable hole...
"YOU IDIOT RAMPART!"

Reaper cried out in pain as the laser blew a hole clean through his left wing. He spiralled down to the ground, just barely staying online. He hit the ground hard and rolled. He was tempted to transform into his bot mode and make a run for it.
Reaper opened a secure COMM channel to the Cybertrons and sent a distress call disguised as static. He hoped that help would come soon. He also hoped that because he remained in his beast mode, that his attackers would assume he was just a bird.

Torrent stumbled backwards in shock as a shot that had seemingly materialized from thin air hit Reaper clean through his wing.
He immediatly turned round and shot off in Reapers direction to help him. Not long after doing so he recived a distress call from Reaper and traced it back to him.
"What've we gotten ourselves into this time." he mumbled to himself.

Well?, growled Rampart. Now what?!
"Gorgon, Scathe, get out there and check it out!;, ordered Triton with a rough threatening voice as Quickmove motioned to move also. Not you Quickchange! Heavier bots only, and the few the better.. Throttle! Drop our shields!

The sleekest member of the Assault team did as he was commanded as Gorgon and Scathe beganh to slope off to the cargo exit...

"Understood Boss-Bot." Gorgon growled as he made his way off the ship.
Gorgon slid down the ramp to the ship in his alt mode. He wished he had wheels or treads so he could grind the bird beneath them.
Reaper managed to get to his feet, still in his bird mode. He was completely grounded. He stood at the edge of the mountain, there was a steep slope that lead to the bottom of the mountain. He'd have to transform into his robot mode and make a run for the forest. He still needed to wait for Torrent before he could go.

Torrent burst through the bushes to find Reaper standing on the mountains edge.
"You okay Reaper?" He asked and skidded to a halt in front of Reaper.

Reaper turned to face Torrent. He spread his injured wing, showing a hole blasted clean through it.
"Looks like we're sticking to the ground from now on. We need to get back to Grunt and the other. Fast. I couldn't see what was burning, but it wasn't a ship. Add to the fact I just got shot out of the sky, means there is something hostile out there."
Reaper transformed into his robot mode and folded his wings against his back.
"We're going down this slope. We should be able to slide all the way down. From there, we're going to have to sprint for cover to the tree line. Ready?"
Reaper crouched down on the edge and prepared to slide.
Gorgon was getting impatient.
"Me Gorgon wish you Scathe hurry up" He said, though Scathe wasn't within earshot.

"Lets go!" Torrent shouted as he jumped into the air and transformed. Landing on the slope and already starting his decent.

Reaper grinned as he leapt down the slope. He had his left leg extended out infront of him and his right leg bent. His right hand was on the ground, helping support and guide him down the slope. He prayed they weren't being followed, if they were, they'd be leaving a nice big trail behind them. Unfortunately, there was no other way of getting down the mountain quickly.
Reaper eventually reached the bottom of the slope. He pushed away from it and hit the ground running.
"Quickly, run to the treeline. We can slow down a little bit once we're under cover." Reaper said quickly and quietly to Torrent.

"Right. Lets get as far away from here as possible" He said, mimicking Reapers quiet tone and running as fast as he could.

Scathe transformed into his hybrid tank mode and trundled behind Gorgon, his treads tearing up the grass and stones as he sowly followed.
Gorgon was making good speed when suddenly an internal warning went off...

When Gorgon's internal went off, he suddenly halted, causing Scathe to bump into the back of him.
"Me Gorgon picking up Cybertron signals!"
Gorgon immediately contacted Triton on the COMM.

"Boss-bot! Me Gorgon found Cybertron signals! We go look for puny Cybertrons and smash them!"

With that, Gorgon sped off in the direction of the signal.
((OOC: How much further do Reaper and Torrent have before they hit the treeline?"

OOC: at your leisure, the RP in general needs to be moved on.  Relenting, Scathe transformed into his robot mode and began stomping behind Gorgon to keep up. Not having the ability of hover like his comrade, this was now no time for pussyfooting around, especially when there were Cybertrons to squash! |

Reaper gave Torrent a couple of quick hand signals as they approached the treeline. He pulled his wings back as best he could as he dived into the undergrowth. He had to slow down once he got into the forest, the undergrowth too thick for him to move quickly.
"We need to keep moving." He whispered to Torrent. "We keep going until we have to revert to our beast modes. I'm going to have to stay put under cover when that happens. You're welcome to stay with me, or you can go on ahead and find Grunt and the others."
Gorgon reached a steep slope that lead down to the bottom of the mountain. Far ahead lay the massive forests. He transformed into his robot mode and scanned the area. Not far from his feet, there were a couple of marks leading down the slope.
"Scathe! Look!" Gorgon exclaimed as he pointed out the tracks. "They been here!"
Gorgon continued scanning, only being able to follow the tracks to the bottom of the slope, but no further. In the immediate area, Gorgon picked up traces of Cybertronian materials.
"Looks like puny bird was also puny Cybertron!"
