Awesome.
I've been thinking about trying a mod compilation I've heard on the minecraft podcast I listen too called the yogbox (spelling might be wrong). I think it has stuff in it like mocreatures and stuff like that. Just to play around with in single player until the 1.8 update (my recent transgressions into the underbelly of minecraft, and the fruitless results of falling into lava have turned me off from my Alpha World).

Just updated my Minecraft blog.
I had the YOGBOX for a while, lots of fun! They took out the millenaire mod,, I got really addicted to that. It's a bit flawed though as it tells you not to use a previous save of millenaire or their will be problem. In effect you'd have to keep starting over with each yogbox update, which kind of defeats the purpose of millenaire. The extra animals are nice though and the extra mobs are a bit freaky!

Not exactly Minecraft related, but did you read about Bethesda threatening suit on Mojang over Scrolls, their in the works title? It's crazy. Might have to boycot Skyrim's release if they follow through. On an actual minecraft related note, I've felt like making skins again, and made this one last night. Attachments:

Apparently it's their lawyers, not the company but it's silly. Can no other game have "magic" in it any more because of Might & Magic? Or "Duty" because of Call Of Duty?
That skin is awesome btw!

I've installed Pokemobs! I loved Pokemon as a kid (especially Red/Blue version and the original 151. Silver/Gold were good too) and this is a cool idea. Pokemon are more useful than wolves. Makes me want to try modding. I've been joking around about making Pinatacraft A Viva Pinata mod for Minecraft

Was "Pokemobs" a typo? Whether or not, I like the sound of that better then Pokemons!

The mod is called Pokemobs, because it adds Pokemon mobs to the game.

Triple post! So, I of course have been playing Minecraft 1.8 pre-release. 1.8 is AWESOME! I really love the update, like rediscovering Minecraft. All the new things I've experienced are great. Biomes are huge compared to before. I spawned right next to a river, on the edge of a pine forest and desert. In the distance, on the edge of the biome, was a nice big mountain. Really close to my spawn was a swamp biome which is awesome. I've seen a lot of clay, but with furnaces being bugged, I've not bothered to collect it. Once 1.8 is officially released I will probably start another world. I built a house, or more like a hut, to survive the night. Unfortunately, every time I tried to sleep a monster would spawn next to me and attack (can't believe they still haven't fixed that). So, I started making a bigger house. To combat the inability to make glass and see outside before exiting my house, I made an overhanging ledge and zig-zagged cactus under it so mobs that tried to get to me get pulled into the cactus. While doing this I found that you can put torches on fences, which I'm very happy about. Once I had a house that wouldn't spawn monster when I went to sleep, I decided to do some exploring. My world is a bit odd, as while exploring I kept coming upon more deserts, more swamps, more mountains and more pine forests. The original plan was to just explore until I died, but in one desert I happened upon a village and looted it's glass panes and crops and decided to find my way back to my house. I almost got killed by a skeleton in a swamp at night (they have a huge advantage in water) but I made it home alive thanks to the bread I crafted from the villages wheat. I decided to get off after adding windows to my house. I plan on heading back to this mountain range later as I spotted a curiosity on one of the mountains. Attachments:
