TIME MANAGEMENT
Firstly, no-time-wasters please. If you make a profile for an RP and it's approved, when that RP starts, your expected to post the minimum of at least once a week. Please don't create a profile if you've no attention of showing up, or, only make 1 or 2 posts then never come back. It's a nightmare for the GM's to introduce someone only to have to kill them off weeks later, and extremely annoying.
A lot of time, energy and investment are put into these RP's so only submit a profile if you think you can actually play and commit to at least one post per week.
Please do not participate in an RPG if you can not commit to at least one post a week, preferably two. It slows the game down and gets everyone antsy and bored. If you're going on vacation/are sick, please tell the GM via the OOC thread so your character can be covered until you get back.
Posting you'll be away in the "Sparks" (Introduction) forum, in a PM or anywhere else but the OOC thread will not be acknowledged. Please post in the OOC thread. If there are extenuating circumstances you can then discuss it with the GM in a PM but that initial notification, must be in the OOC thread.
SET-UP
Each player can have 3 Transformers characters max. You're characters can be on the same side or on different sides if you wish. Newer members who haven't RP'd at Total Transformers before will be restricted to 1 or 2 characters at most. This is because we have no idea how well you can or cannot roleplay and so need to see how you manage it/if you've read our rules.
Every player controls only his/her own characters. Playing as someone else or controlling their character/actions is not allowed (even if you think that you were in-character), unless you have a permission from the other player.
CREATING A CHARACTER
Your character is generated using a profile sheet, Please check the intial post of the "Profiles" threads in any RP to see if the standard profile is to be used. (In this RP Rules forum) Sometimes in the initial post a custom one is displayed to be used as a template, please make sure that you are using that one in this instance.
Make sure your using the right profile! Unless it says otherwise in the first post of the profiles thread, standard rules apply. This includes tech specs as well.
Tech Specs,- the specifics of which, will depend on the GM. The GM can deny certain aspects of the Tech Spec if he thinks it too powerful and his decision stands. Please try to have a balanced profile a Transformer with all high stats is unrealistic, Big, huge bulky bots are going to be very agile now are they?
GETTING STARTED
You must post your transformers profile before playing. Once your profile is accepted and the RP begins, please wait to be written in, do not just write yourself in.
FIGHTING IN BATTLE
Attempting an action - use your description as attempts as opposed to actual completion of that action. For example say "Tigor aimed at Starscream and fired" as opposed to "Tigor shot Starscream out of the sky and finished him off for good". I know that is an exaggeration but the principle is there. Let the person being attacked decide the outcome of your actions, believe me it IS more fun that way. Higher situatons, like looking for that enemy spy in our base, the GM decides if you find him.
Similarly, please tried to avoid "Hotshot aimed point blank at Soundwave's head and fired", it leaves the other player no options and could be reguarded as a "God-modding Ploy" to gain advantage, it's not fair, it's not right and you'll be kicked if you use it.
If someone is attempting to hit you, you decide the amount of damage inflicted and what happens, use your tech spec as a reference. Be sensible in what you can do. The exception, and the only exception is that the GM can do what he wants.
The GMs (GameMaster) ruling is final. Please don't spoil an RPG by arguing over whether you could have done something the GM has not let you do.
No invincible characters or power trips please IE. never being hit and never taking any serious damage, it just makes it boring. Even Prime got a beating in the Movies, but that made his victory all the more cool didn't it?! If a GM thinks you are constantly avoiding hits, he will let you know. If you keep doing it further action will be taken which could result in your character being sevely injured or worse killed off.

Don't abuse your powers or abilities. Mirage never went invisible permanently and shot Megs in the back of the head did he? Be responsible and please use common sense when playing in the RP's.
NPCs (Non Player Characters) are people who have no player to control them, they are usually controlled by the GM, unless they have said otherwise. I usually give players a ton of NPCs to slaughter, I am nothing if I am not generous, don't abuse it by killing 10 drones with one punch.
Traveling
Travel of all sort takes time. In interest of the RP and its time flow, characters can't just pop up from one thread into another. Simply check with the GM on what to do, if not already indicated by the GM in a post.
OUT OF CHARACTER COMMENTS
If you are posting something out of character please mark it at the beginning as 'OOC:' as to avoid confusion in posts. . But we do have a OOC thread in the RP forum so please don't fill the game up with too much OOC banter. Please always use the OOC thread for posting about being away, this will allow the GM to write your character out temporarily and keep the game flowing. Any characters that dissapear for at least 3 weeks without any notice will be killed off. Nastily.
GOING OFF ON YOUR OWN SUB-PLOT
The GM makes the story-lines, please don't try to make you're own. If you have an idea for a main plot, please PM it to him/her. Sub-plots will be allowed.
Remember!:
Have fun! We want you to have the best experience whilst RPing here! So many members come and don't read the rules and end up disappearing resulting in GM's having to kill-off their characters. We don't ask much in terms of being here & posting, the more you read the rules the more you'll get the maximum benefit out of roleplaying at Total Transformers.
