+++ To: Safecharm Subject: Good Luck!
Safecharm, my good friend. I hope you, Perceptor, Torque and Smokescreen have all made it across the Energon Highway and out of the Badlands. Back here at Fort St Pyrotron, the last of the active soldiers have left, and we are preparing our first experiments in the bowels of the base. You should know that we have been intercepting transmissions these past few solar cycles, and Straxus, Megatron’s proxy on Cybertron, has used the destruction of our main fighting force to declare the war won. The Autobots no longer exist, officially, and the term will carry little weight in Iacon now. I do not know if the Hellraiser cells we sent you to make contact with will still be fighting in our proud capital. By my calculations, you should now be on the outskirts of Iacon, if all has gone well. This connection will only last so long, so I am afraid this is the last contact I will be able to make with you. I have absolute faith you four will be able to re-ignite the Prime cause. Goodbye, and good luck. May Primus be with you. Brazier +++
Safecharm smiled as he read the datapad, before storing it and looking at the road ahead. Iacon’s towers stood proud and defiant in the air, but in his spark, he knew they were nothing but false hope. Iacon belonged to Straxus now, and his tower, newly built, stood tallest of all. The young solider sighed deeply, before looking to his friends, Perceptor, Torque and Smokescreen. A month had passed since they had set out from Fort St Pyrotron, and now, they were supposed to make contact with an Autobot resistance fighter, just over this hill. He signalled them to follow him. “Let’s go. Our contact is clicks away.” Staying low, he moved up the hill, gun in hand and ready for anything…

Trying to stay low as well, Perceptor secretly wished to be back in the lab. While fighting is nothing new to Perceptor, he knew that he'd be better suited to the task of discovering new ways to end this war quicker. But also, he was extremely curious to figure out the mystery of Fort Pryotron.
With not much fineness, Perceptor continued to sneak up the hill. 'Safecharm, may I offer my assistance in scanning the area with my lens once we reach the apex of this hill? Once in microscope mode my size reduces greatly, thus reducing the odds on being spotted by any enemy patrols as well.'

Torque crouched low and moved deceptively quietly towards Safecharm. He kept his H-50 MAGNUS rifle held ready to bring to bear on any hostile force.
"Hey, Safecharm." He whispered. "This contact of yours, he got a name? Last time me, Perceptor and Smokescreen had to meet a mysterious contact, we nearly blew away Highstacker."
Torque remembered that day well. He wasn't ashamed to admit it was good to see Nexus taken down a peg when they met Highstaker. Torque then remembered the last time he saw Highstaker, the young 'Bot was cut down by enemy firepower. Torque promised himself that he'd get at least one Decepticon for their former guide.

Smokescreen stayed in his alt mode, for now, the phrase 'Home sweet Home', couldn't help be filled after by a question mark. What was once the Autobot's capital city had now become a commodity of an evil Decepticon tyrant. And that did not sit well with Smokescreen. As he prepared to move out from Iacon's border he couldn't help put adjust his on-board visual camera to reflect Iacon behind him on the screen on his dashboard., and wondered if this would be the last time he would see Cybertron's most synonymous and iconic city..

Safecharm waved a hand in Perceptor's direction. "Go ahead. Smokscreen, take point and escort Perceptor to the top of the hill. Protect him while he's transformed." He then turned to Torque a shrugged idly. "Nope. The Hellraiser cells are very secretive- they can't even recognize any members of the resistance from outside their own cell. All of their messages to us so far have been incredibly short, and highly coded, so I'm as much in the dark as you are." As Perceptor and Smokscreen reached the top of the hill, and Perceptor started scanning, he may have noticed a slight heat signature emanating from a bomb crater to the right, and tech readings that clearly registered as transformer technology. However, at regular intervals, Decepticon seekers would soar overhead, flashing spotlights and firing rockets at any signs of movement.

Torque remained with Safecharm. He remained unflinching as a rocket landed somewhere close by. He wasn't looking impressed. He gripped his weapon tighter. He still wasn't used to this new weapon. After leaving Fort St Pyrotron, Torque had swapped out all of his weapons, upgrading one hand so it could become a weapon, and even upgraded his armour. He let out a grunt as another rocket impacted.
"I wish they wouldn't do that. They're making me want to clip their wings." He grunted.

At the top of the mountain smokescreen transformed whilst Perceptor did his thing. Drawing his disrupter rifle he levelled out and scoped around 360, ready for anything that might come at them.
"Just one rocket too close and those seekers are getting it! right in the fuel line..." grizzled Smokescreen as the seekers roared overhead. Not once did he take his optic off them, not even to pass a quick glance at Perceptor.
"Feels good to be out and back in the field, doesn't it Perceptor?"

'I'm afraid I do not sure your rather upbeat feelings on being back out in the field. Unless I am reading your tone incorrectly. I was never one for sarcasm-ism I'm afraid, forgive me.'
Perceptor took in the information present to him. He reported his finding back to Safecharm. 'Hmmm, if I may theorize for a moment, I believe our contacts may be hidden within the disguise of a bomb crater. I am detecting readings of technology for a crater that should not have anything functioning within it. Since the bomb that made that crater surely would of destroyed everything within it's blast radius.'

Safecharm nodded thoughtfully, then loaded his weapon and crawled up the hill, peeking over the apex to where Perceptor had referenced. He looked up at the Seekers flying overhead, trailing them with his rifle, before turning back to consult his comrades. "They seem to fly over every few clicks, so it's a risky move if we want to try a dash for it. What shall we do?" The seekers were coming two or three at a time, keeping in close formation and following what seemed to be a fairly specific route. In the bomb crater, there seemed to be a sign of movement as a missile hit dangerously close- the seekers seemed to be zeroing in on the contact's energy signature...

'What if we divide the team, one half ventures forth while the other provides cover then vice-a-versa?' Suggested Perceptor.

Safecharm grunted urgently. "Incoming, mechs!" The seekers were changing course, flying dangerously close to their position. No doubt they had picked up the extra energy signatures and pinpointed their position. Safecharm targeted a few as they sped overhead. "Whatever we do, I suggest we do it fast, I recommend sending Perceptor and Smokescreen over first- they're the most vulnerable, and they'll need the extra time. Looks like the frequency of the flyovers is increasing- we're running out of time!" As he finished his sentence, two seekers launched a salvo of rockets within a couple of paces of the Autobots, creating a smoking crater close to their position. The Decepticons were closing in...

Perceptor transformed. Reverting to robot mode as quickly as he could, he began to return fire back at the seekers with his hand blaster. 'Smokescreen! It seems Safecharm is correct! Might I insist that you create a devision while I provide cover fire!'

Torque cocked his H-50 and grinned. He looked over at Safecharm.
"let's provide them with some covering fire."
He hefted his weapon and took aim at the lead Seeker of the squadron that approached.

Without acknowledgement, Smokescreen drove off, kicking up the dirt and used his black mist as he zig-zagged to get their attention. As his tyres burned rubber, he hit his top speeds trying to gain the seeker's attention.
OOC: Sorry wasn't feeling very inspired,

Perceptor wasted no time in running behind Smokescreen and though the black smog that his comrade produced.
The scientist resisted the urge to fire at the Seekers. His neutral electric instincts pushed him to defend himself but Perceptor knew that if he fired at any Seeker it would draw attention to himself.
Then as the roar of the engines of a Seeker flying in low frighten Perceptor, the science mech panicked and tripped. Unable to see where he was going was proving far more difficult that it looked. 'My colleagues back at the Forum Of Enlightenment would not approve of my current activities!"
