I trashed my toys up until Octopunch and beyond but the comics i always preserved. Im quite lucky to have an almost complete set in great condidtion. All bagged up and in order now.
You should give the Titan tpb a try though, great compilations.

[glow=blue,2,000]You can still get in to G1. But i know how you feel, like I wish I was younger so when I did watch Beast Wars and stuff I could just let myself fall completely in to it. At first I didn't until I just took for what it was. And realising all the corny stuff of the original G1.
As you get older it loses it feeling, like watching Star Wars and realizing how fake it looks but, you still sit back and realize how great it looked back then.[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,000]Holy crap Rainy, just read your Real/Fake Megs post. Man I wish I got UK TF comics up here.
I have to give it up to them for trying to tie all the storys together. Too bad it sent TF through continuity hell.
But the comics win at the Scorponok protrail.[/glow]

nah star wars films will always be great no matter how daTted they ghet, like TF. The cgi in Beast wars and Beast machines is begeinning to look a little tame but it still works.

Yeah the UK stuff is superb. Shame the US deceided to bring Megs back when they did. UK had never really dropped the character and had run with the whol Straxus thing then when the US said 'Its time' it was like 'oh dear, we better make this make sense somehow'. I had to read the ish 3 or 4 times at the time to make sens eof it but its all there (sort of...).
Worth it foir another Straxus cameo (one of my all time face characters) and his final demise. Great issue really. Plus around that time there was loads of great black n white shorts with Ock and co , great stuff.
Know what you mean about going back and wathcing G1, man some of it is pianful bu tlike you say at the time it was the best and you have to remember it as such.
Sort of why i still appreciate Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer.

Galvatron 1 was create din the same way as in the movie in a possible future. he time jumped back twice until his and his henchmen (Cylonus and Scourge) messed with time too much and Cyclonus died. This created a paradox that threatened to destroy the universe. It claimed Scourge, Galavtron then Shockwave threw in the remains of Cyclonus to close the gap in reality.
Galvatron 2 was brought into the comic universe by the 'proper' Unicron from an alternate dimension. in this one Galvatron had served Unicron faithfully and hed been given Earth to rule. Obviously it came as a shock to this Galvy when he was plucked out by another Unicron and forced to serve once more.

[glow=blue,2,000]That was confusing. Especialy since you mentioned Hammer/Ice, really threw me off.
But G1 cartoon and comic with allways be better then todays stuff(Except art) cause back then you had real storys. Comic back then had tones of dialogue and 30 pages today its 20 pages with very little 2 read.
And Star Wars fell off. And this is coming from a guy who's nickname is Obe. With all this talk of time and stuff perhaps I should get back in to Docter Who.[/glow]

[glow=green,2,300]Y'know, i was just watching TFTM again (Haveen't seen it in ages!) and that was some strength galvatron had when he had his hands wrapped round Rodimus's neck! (Inside unicron before HR used the matrix) he could have easily snapped Hot Rod's head clean off! ;D[/glow]

that is simply because Hotrod sucks =P. I still think STar Wars has it but I never got into Doctor Who.

[glow=blue,2,000]Dr. Who sort of haves this acquired taste...
But you know what? Galvatron, he keeps getting cut out of the new TF stuff right? Like out of RID and Armada?[/glow]

yeah I noticed that. I mean who the hell is repsonsible for nto re using Galvy AND Soundwave who are like 2 of the most popular characters ever to grace tf!

Yeah but re using them could cheapen them remember. Its come acustomed with some characters now but doing it too much is a bit wrong in my opinion.
Watched som,e season3 styff today and Glavy rules. I forgot how much i liked him Saw Dark Awakeninga and Grimlocks New Brain. Apart form primes superb turn in DA Galvy had some awesome lines.
