[glow=blue,2,000]Basically, a lot of fans have argued that Brawn survived because he was only shot in the shoulder. At least thats what we see. I always figured that the decepticons would have finished him off like that did Ironhide.
I remember way back when I began role playing that I met a dude online who played Brawn. You might know him X, he's Brawn aka Dan over at The Moon. He and some people here and there have written stories or made comics about Brawn surviving the attack.
Most notably, another reason some fans believe that Brawn survived is that in Season 3's of the origin TF show, 'Dark Awakenings', Rodimus Prime and crew find the autobot mausoleum. Inside are all the dead autobots from the war. Daniel walks down one of the hallways and says the names of Ironhide, Prowl, Ratchet and then... Huffer!
IMO, thats a weak argument, considering that the mausoleum is full of dead autobots and that Brawn could be around. Maybe Daniel just didn't get to him? Another piece of evidence is that Brawn is seen in the background on another show. But I think Huffer was as well. But of course, that could be due to mistakes made by animators as we have always seen in the past. [/glow]

Another arguement would be one of the pre-movie episodes, I've forgotten which one, but it was Skyfires second appearance. Brawn got blasted a good few times by Megatron, before wrenching Megatron's Fusion Cannon off his arm and then blasting away at the 'Cons with it.

Usually with one or two shots. Another example being Starscream, killed with one shot from Galvatron, and after the movie, loads of characters got shot multiple times by Galvatron...Wow, the movie characters were seriously weak.

Remember in the tv show they were always fighting for energon and by time the movie rolled around maybe the Decepticons got alot of energon to make them stronger while the Autobots suffered from a shortage making them not completely strong.
In the movie Prime had them make them make a special run to Autobot city. Maybe they had a just enough energon stored in the city that they needed to take to the front lines for the Autobots during the war for one last push against the Decepticons.
Thats my theory

Yeah bad writing and the fact that they killed off a bunch of the originals to make way for the new line of Transformers.

All I remember of the deaths that effected the entire theatre of kids was the death of Optimus Prime.
Every parent in there had to haul their kids out of there crying after that happened. They stopped the movie when the manager saw how many people were fleeing the theatre. I think he got his buns chewed out for not warning them about the death of the Autobot leader. He gave everyone a free ticket to another movie and after the kids were calmed down, they restarted the film from where they left off at.
Needless to say, I was a bit shaken by that death as he was my favorite character.
