It had been about 2 astro-hours since Phasmatis had been locked up in his cell. Renegade security had him under surveillance for the entire time, via guards and video cameras but still, the mysterious mech's secrets were still his own as he gave not one hint as to what was up his sub-space sleeves, so to speak.
Latyrx7 and Hoist were riding down in an elevator to the prisoner section, on there way to question Phasmatis. As veteran Renegades, the two were used to having to deal with Decepticons they never knew if they could fully trust. While the support for the new Renegade was divided, the ones in favor of seeing the new team didn't take well to having members that they didn't believe were trust worthy. Latyrx7's thought were wondering of they were right.
As the veteran Renegades exited the lift, they came to face the first security doors of the prison area. 'We need to let this creep know, if he's apart of the Renegades, he not going to allow them to fall apart. He may have some influence over Incendius and it may be positive for now, I'm not going to have him spread any negative energy among the ranks. As the humans call it, time for the good cop/bad cop routine. Right, lets get in to character.'
The first door opened, then the two headed for the second one that block off the area where Phasmatis cell was located.

"I wonder how much willpower he does have, Incendius I mean", answered Hoist as they continued walking to the second area. "And that could be a problem if Phantasmis is as bigger influence as data suggests. But we've dealt with difficult Renegades for years, and I dare say we will again if we live that long.
Almost makes you miss the days of Scarunner and super powered-Destructicons...""

'Miss them? At least we knew who was shooting at us, then again, that was everybody.'
The two Renegade elders approached Phasmatis' cell. The guards nodded to the commanders and reported that the prisoner hadn't done anything to raise suspicion but did threaten the guards. Hoist and Latyrx7 told the guards to wait outside and to be ready. The forcefield came down and the commanders entered the cell.

Phasmatis was sat on a bunk at the back of the cell. He eyes were lowered as he drifted of into stasis, but looked up as soon as he heard the two mechs striding purposefully down the block towards his room. He smiled grimly. "Ah... the proverbial cavalry." He threw a mock salute as the pair walked in. He seemed to recognize them. "Well well... Optimus' lacky and the faded throwback. Nice to finally meet you close to." He smiled cruelly at the two. "I take you didn't come for the food?"

"Save it, we've heard worse, and I'm in no mood for jovialities." Hoist kicked the tray away splattering food all over the dingy cell floor. "Assaulting a superior officer, threatening another comrade with a blade, then claiming you were attacked - unprovoked.. And just what makes you think you should even be in this outfit? Start talkin!'"

As Hoist started the interrogation, Latyrx7 began going over the facts in his cpu. Mysterious robot showing up and putting to rest all the insane behavior of a trouble yet brilliant strategist. The proverbial alarm bells began to go off in Latyrx7's head as if reminded him of classic Decepticon control.

Phasmatis tutted as Hoist shouted into his face. "Now now... so agressive. Was there really any need for that?" What I said was true. I kicked viciously in the lower leg. My reaction circuits are somewhat finely tuned, and I simply turned towards the danger with blade outstretched. If I'd known she was so close, I wouldn't have got the blade out, for fear of causing lasting damage... Sorry, what was that? 'What makes me think I should be in this outifit'? Hah. Because, foolish old mech, I'm the only thing that keeps that quivering lump of pyromanical incompetence you call 'Incendius' in line. You see?"

'If we have to lose Incendius in order to get rid of you, you'll find that I'll have no problem making that call.' Latyrx7 didn't think much of Phasmatis bargaining ploy.
'So tell me, did your finely tuned reaction circuits all so decide to push Computic in his face? I don't know what you heard, or what you might have read in the history records, the Renegades were never savage or aggressive to one another. Not even the worst of the worst. Decepticon or Vehicon, each soldiers knew not to get out of line. In fact, it was a Vehicon that kept things in order.... and he was ready to put down any robot who acted like hey had their wires crossed.'
Latyrx7 decided to change the conversation slightly. 'What we know is you enter a Autobot medical facility where Incendius was and cured him of his metal disorder. Now, I have some questions. First, how did you find him? His location was a secret. Second, did you really cure him? Just what did you do or do you just turn off the crazy switch? Third, I want to know about the history between you two.'

Phasmatis nodded. "Ah yes... the infamous Heavyassault. I've heard of him. Look at you. We remember when the Renegades were a proud warrior race. Now you cringe into the shadows, lackeys of Optanica Prime. Was it not your leader who once said that he did not need the Matrix to win his battles? And yet here you are, subservient to it...[/b][/color] Oh, and would you really be willing to cut Incendius loose? One of your only and most talented strategists? A valuable asset to the Renegades?" He decided to cut Latryx7 off before he could retort to this. Stealing the voice of your enemy was an important factor of war. "I suppose I should answer your questions. Firstly, Computic was in my way. The Renegades have always been willing to push aside others to achieve their goals, have they not? Secondly, your questions on Incendius. You should know that he is a rouge. An escapee. A dangerous terrorist whose only goal is one of destruction. And my only goal is to ensure that he remains no threat to my people. So far, I have succeeded... but for how long is yet to be seen."

"I have no time for half-screwed truths, your explanation hardly breaks the surface like how your knowledge of the facts scratches it. So instead of wasting time lets cut to the chase. If he's a terrorist, then prove it. Have him arrested. Answer for his crimes. Have, "your people" report his crimes. And if you doubt you can keep him in check, if it so important, then why are you doing this alone?' Latyrx7 saw what Phasmatis was trying to do. Clearly, the mech was a manipulative control freak. The way he avoided the questions and tried to use history against him told Latyrx7 more then Phasmatis was letting on.

Phasmatis looked long at hard at Latrx7, then burst out laughing. "Ha! Have him arrested? Report his crimes? Do you think me some imperial guard, saluting and clicking his heels, righting wrongs from Jekka to Iacon? No, no. My people learned to live without such expenditures many years ago. Incendius, however, disturbs this delicate peace. He ran from the happiness we offered, an insane destroyer, vowing to kill us all. I was sent to stop him, by any means necessary. After my plans to subdue him in the mines of the Wastes failed, and he brought the entire complex down on us with his knowledge of explosives, I had to recalculate. 'Turning off the crazy switch', as you put it, seemed the best option."

'Your not making any sense.' Replied Latyrx7 cool and calmly. 'What's your definition of delicate peace when you think it's ok to assault my troops? Who are these people you speak of? You were sent by someone? Who? Your not leaving here until we get some answers, and that doesn't mean you'll be allowed with the Renegades just because we let you out. And you can take Incendius can go with you when you go.'

Phasmatis laughed again. "He he he... It frustrates you, doesn't it Latryx7? Not knowing as much as me. Being kept in the dark about things you so want to know about. What would you do if I stopped talking right now? Fly into a tantrum? Burst into tears? Threaten me? With what, exactly? Perhaps I'll try it. I want to know what makes you tick. I'm going to win this, Matrix lover. And Primus do I like winning." He sat back, his mouth firmly clamped shut in a devilish grin.

'All right. Lets keep things in the dark. Were done here.' Latyrx7 signaled to the guards to let himself and Hoist out. 'If you see us again, don't waste our time a second time.'

Hoist waited until they were down the corridor before speaking, "iIve seen plenty of cocky bots in my time, but he's just plain arrogant, I don't trust him..", commented Hoist. "Furthermore I don't like the idea of him and Incendius serving together. Did you hear what he called us?! Lackies! I don't like his attitude in general, it stinks Latryx."
The maintenance bot come weapons developer walked a little further, "So what are our plans for him?"
