It has been 10 years since the release of everyone's favourite movie about cowboys in space!
From Wiki.....
Serenity is a 2005 American space western film written and directed by Joss Whedon. It is a continuation of Whedon's short-lived 2002 Fox science fiction television series Firefly and stars the same cast, taking place after the events of the final episode. Set in 2517, Serenity is the story of the captain and crew of Serenity, a "Firefly-class" spaceship. The captain and first mate are veterans of the Unification War, having fought on the losing Independent side against the Alliance. Their lives of smuggling and cargo-running are interrupted by a psychic passenger who harbors a dangerous secret.
The film stars Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin, Summer Glau and Chiwetel Ejiofor. The film was released in North America on September 30, 2005 by Universal Pictures. It received generally positive reviews and was #2 during its opening weekend but it did not make back its budget until its home media release. Serenity won numerous awards, including the 2006 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation.
The TV series and the movie just seemed to have bad luck attached to it. Now matter what they couldn't get a break it seems. Its a shame but at least Joss went on to do Avengers 1 and 2 and more.

Gorram it. Has it been 10 years already? Well, I know what I'm doing this weekend.
Also, fun fact. D-Fib is heavily based on Kaylee.

Love Kaylee! Love Firefly, but I actually am not a very big fan of Serenity (If Firefly were somehow miraculously brought back, I'd hope they'd pretend that Serenity never happened). I felt it lost a lot of it's Western and Victorian influences to appeal to a larger market. It just felt like a sci-fi movie to me. And also, Shep and Wash
