Given the new animated series ( EarthSpark) coming to Nickelodeon, I've been reading comments on forums and it's got me thinking. (There's also a Bot Bot series coming.) The series is not for my taste (I'm sure it'll be perfect for pre-school kids however), as the premise sounds ridiculous, but if it's for that very young pre-school age, I guess it doesn't have to make sense. With the whole "It has to be set on Earth, because that's where the AllSpark landed" got me thinking. It got be thinking - has the AllSpark become the new McGuffin? Thinking back the AllSpark was mentioned in Beast Wars/Beast machines, mostly the latter I think, but then with the Bay movies we got this AllSpark idea and it hasn't stopped since. How many times can you lose the AllSpark or send it off Cybertron? Why does it always land on Earth? Isn't this idea getting a bit old and overdone now? If there is a ever a new series to entertain bothe the young and older fans (Like Transformers Prime), isn't it time to come up with a new concept? What do you think?

Yeah, it's is the new McG. Also I think it comes down to lazy writing or thinking. I mean all they really need to do is make some new toys and character designs and that's it. Throw in a show, a comic and whatever else and as long as sales are made Hasbro is happy.
