lol good points L7 i like it.
Itll always be unclear and depend son the fan i remember having 'disucssions' at the moon with some guy over Rampage in BW and whether he was still alive after BW what with his indestructable spark and all. Its very much you can make of it what you want.

[glow=blue,2,000]Plus on issues like who's who, or what realy happened or who dead or not can change if a writer wants it to. Just ask Marvel comics.[/glow]

Yes curse Marvel comics! The cartoon is fun but screwy. The comic was always the 'true' story for me.

[glow=blue,2,000]I go with the comic more so since they incoprated some ideas from the cartoon/movie plus explained the TFs history better then the show. The Quints are cool characters but as for creating the TFs......they still remain cool if they didn't. But the whole actually 'robots that are actually alive with souls (sparks)' is explained better with Primus the Vector Sigma. Like, how does a super pooter bring a bot to life besides a power up and a program? Never explained fully. [/glow]

Yeah vector sigma kinda sucked in the cartoon, the oracle version in BM was nice though as a cryptic guiding force.
Here's another brain buster though;
Is Galvatron Megatron or his own bot as such? (and are cyclonus and scourge their originals or completely new entities?) Thoughts?

[glow=blue,2,000]I believe that Unicron not only gave Megatron a new body, but did alter his conscious in some manner. The only evidence I have to support this is Megatron's arrogants. Megatron is master to no one and dead set on ruling the universe. He's was even so bold as to back talk to Unicron. So, why would Megatron allow his name to be changed? Or that others call him something else? This is Megatron for crying out loud! But something must have happened in his head, a reprograming, or he acknowledged something deeper, or was humbled some how. He does acknowledge he was Megatron and it was been mentioned that he has kept Megatron's memories and that makes sence looking at his actions in the show and the comic. The only real difference between the two besides the body is Galvatron comes off far more insane then Megatron, and Megatron is protrayed being mainly angry and dissatisfied.[/glow]

I have read a few good fanfic on the subject that theroised that Megs was used as a template rather than a subject (if that makes sense). In that Galvs would have Megs previous memories to make him a more knowledgable and rounded being (before he went mad) but was essentially a new TF with a new personality/name/body etc.
I lean more towards Galvs being Megs in the comic as they were so alike (as Mesg was insane in the comic too). Cartoon wise I tend to go for the templte kinda approach.
One thing ive always liked is the head similarities save for Galv's crown which is very reminiscent of Starscreams before he dies. If you put that on megs the two'd be really alike.
The template idea can also be applied to the others as rightly said the insecticons would make lame super warriors but would be ok for raw materials.

if you stop the scene in the movie you can clearly see that the insecticon is in front and that skywarp is in the back
