What was your reaction to the deaths in the movie? Especially if you are old enough to have watched in in the theatre as a kid.
Where you shocked by the shuttle scene (why why ratchet and prowl need to have gone anyway, especially prowl). What about when you first saw Wincharger and wheeljack's bodies being dragged in by Arcee? What were your reactions, dumbfounded? Shocked? Apalled?
And who's death did you feel sorry for - Brawn, prowl, ironhide, ratchet, windcharger, Optimus Prime, Megatron (nee rebirth), or maybe starscream?
I always felt sorry for Ironhide being on the reciving end of megatron's fusion cannon, at point blank range above irohide's head let's not forget! I always imagine the impact, his head would've been obliterated and a good size hole in the ships floor to boot. That was some cold hard slag.
What about you?

[glow=blue,2,000]I can't remember if I realized it was Wheeljack and Windcharger being dragged by Arcee. What I do remember was thinking that all those guys that got shot up, would be put back together by the end of the movie. Can't remember what I thought about Ironhide's death. All I was concerned about was Optimus Prime.[/glow]

The smoke coming from porowl's mouth is brutal. That for me was one of the most graphic deaths in the film. Ratchet and Ironhide getting shot up, actually puncturing their armour was pretty evil though. Others were nasty but didnt seem to have that brutality.

Oh man, it totally took me by surprise! The Prowl death was, like mentioned above, particularly dark and shocking. I just sat there thinking to myself, "What the heck is going on? After all this time, the Autobots finally-actually die? The hell?"
The big one for me, of course, was the Optimus Prime death. I don't know if it was the way it was drawn or the music or maybe everything added together, but I remember shedding some tears at that one. I wrote a 4th grade paper on Optimus Prime as my Hero... so it hit this little kid hard.

It was the end of an era losing Optimus (at the time), the music also greatly contributed to the scene as well. Optimus was supposed to be one of those immortal figures, i expect most boys that age into transformers were devastated by Prime dying.
At least Prowl and Ratchet went out guns blazing. Poor Brawn just throwing himself at a decepticon with a loaded walther p-38, not one of the brightest ideas!. Then there's the "unseen deaths", ones that didn't appear in the movie that you had to consider "killed of"
I can't believe some big characters weren't in it though, where was trailbreaker, sideswipe or mirage!

I remember reading somewhere that the movie was started in 1984-1985, so that was why some of the second season Transformers weren't in it (like Protectobots, Stunticons, etc.) But I also wondered where some of the "old-guard" were, especially Trailbreaker --one of my favorite characters of all time, so much so that I wrote a 'farewell' fic for him--
I guess in "business-land", they had to make room for the new characters and thus, sell more toys... but sometimes "business-land" sucks.

Now when I watch the Movie........When Prime dies it makes my eyes water.Retarded? I have a question.Did anyone notice as a child that the word"S.H.I.T" is said in the movie? That caught me totally off-guard, and it was then that my young mind started to grasp the fact that "something big was going to happen in this movie"... I also felt kinda weird hearing a cuss word coming out of a cartoon character's voice.

I didn't rmember when i saw it in the theatre, for all the times i saw it after it was always saw the theatrical version: "Look it isn't even dented" *Cut to unicron* So when i got the DVD it was a bit of a shock!
I love the specualtion on poor Wincharger though, popular opinion is that he got on the wrong side of Megatron's fusion cannon due to the size of the hole in him. Poor wheeljack too, that was a shock when i saw it originally too.

Skywarp and Thundercracker were my favourites so their deaths saddened me the most.
I thought all the battle damage looked really cool though!

Ironhide has to go with me as well. Poor guy, got his head blasted off by mean ol' Megatron. I felt really bad for IH more than any of them. I know you guys might think I'm retarded, but I had no idea who the corpses were that Arcee was dragging into the artillary room. Screamer's death was funny, he froze with that freaky looking expression, then Galvatron said "would anyone else like to attempt to fill his shoes?" then Rumble said "What'd he say his name was?" Lol.

Yeah Ironhide's offing was a big shocker as well, especially how brutally it was done in the end. Ironhide was always looking out for Prime and was till the very end! Apart from the recent movie (maybe, maybe not) i don't think there was another Ironhide that even came close to being half as good as the lovable gruff G1 original. I remember reading somewhere that the movie was started in 1984-1985, so that was why some of the second season Transformers weren't in it (like Protectobots, Stunticons, etc.) But I also wondered where some of the "old-guard" were, especially Trailbreaker --one of my favorite characters of all time, so much so that I wrote a 'farewell' fic for him-- I guess in "business-land", they had to make room for the new characters and thus, sell more toys... but sometimes "business-land" sucks. Agreed! Hound only got a cameo, no Trailbreaker, no Mirage! Wheeljack's cameo was being dragged in with a bloody great big hole in him! No sideswipe either!
