As he ducked Prowler cursed under his breath and used his air booster on one leg to rotate in midair, in this maneuver he would attempt to fire his hoistster at the ground between the decepticons legs and activated the rocket pulley to fire himself at the area, his intention was to grab his whip along the way then roll away only just dodging the axe by a screws width

(OOC: Stepping in here. GM action)
As Prowler hit the ground and fired his hoister between Thunderwing's legs, the Decepticon's axe came down Prowler's right leg. The axe cut through the lower part of the leg, slicing through the calf section. As the hoister pulled Prowler, the Autobot came free but had a large cut in his leg. Prowler did however manage to grab his whip in the process.

Prowler rolled up to a crouch and clutched his now slashed leg, he cried out as energon spurted from his leg and tried standing, he could and shot a look at Thunderwing, cursing him in his head, he began planning his next move, knowing that the damage to his leg would severely hinder his progress, he fell back to his knee at the damage and slumped down, opening his neck up to a stroke from the axe.

OOC: You do realize that to weld metal together, you have to heat the metal until it melts? You just melted off your leg. And I doubt you doubt you could do it so fast. And do you honestly believe anyone can weld their wound that fast, put away your tail, transform and attack before Thunderwing attacked since he's right there just a few feet away? Do you think it's fair that Thunderwing has taken two proper hits, and reacted in pain and you just heal yours? You think he'd just sit back and let you heal yourself? I should let him kill you. In fact if he logs in before you edit your post and tone down the amount of actions, I'm going to let him kill Prowler. Thunderwing you have my permission to kill Prowler.

OOC: You're getting the hang of it Prowler, but some helpful advice: As important as it is to never make an action against someone else (or the GM, unless permitted) without using attempts, it is equally important to allows some attempts made against you to actually land. You get to decide the severity, and no one expects you to take critical damage, not taking hits, but only dishing them out, is what we refer to as "power playing", and is something we have come to take very seriously over the years. It makes for an uninteresting fight when everyone avoids everyone else's attacks. Read through these rulesBut the part most relevant to this situation is this: FIGHTING IN BATTLE Attempting an action - use your description as attempts as opposed to actual completion of that action. For example say "Tigor aimed at Starscream and fired" as opposed to "Tigor shot Starscream out of the sky and finished him off for good". I know that is an exaggeration but the principle is there. Let the person being attacked decide the outcome of your actions, believe me it IS more fun that way. Higher situatons, like looking for that enemy spy in our base, the GM decides if you find him. If someone is attempting to hit you, you decide the amount of damage inflicted and what happens, use your tech spec as a reference. Be sensible in what you can do. The exception, and the only exception is that the GM can do what he wants. The GMs (GameMaster) ruling is final. Please don't spoil an RPG by arguing over whether you could have done something the GM has not let you do. No invincible characters or power trips please IE. never being hit and never taking any serious damage, it just makes it boring. Even Prime got a beating in the Movies, but that made his victory all the more cool didn't it?! If a GM thinks you are constantly avoiding hits, he will let you know. If you keep doing it further action will be taken which could result in your character being sevely injured or worse killed off. Don't abuse your powers or abilities. Mirage never went invisible permanently and shot Megs in the back of the head did he? Be responsible and please use common sense when playing in the RP's. NPCs (Non Player Characters) are people who have no player to control them, they are usually controlled by the GM, unless they have said otherwise. I usually give players a ton of NPCs to slaughter, I am nothing if I am not generous, don't abuse it by killing 10 drones with one punch. In these sim battles, it does not come down to who has created the better character, but whoever decides that the other has played better, or if the GM has decided that one of the players has won. Keep it up as you have already made good progress, and you will get better and better with time. All this will become second nature.

OOC: thanks, i wasn't trying to avoid taking hits, i just thought my agility being much higher he wasnt about to hit me much in melee? OOC: Perhaps with an NPC, it would have been more acceptable, but you have to award the other player with some sort of successful attempt, or they will not have any fun themselves. Even the big slow guys can catch you off guard from time to time. We have a gentleman's agreement around here that 'I will let you have fun, if you let me have fun', so even if we have a guy that is remarkably fast, or remarkable well armored, we take some hits so both sides have fun and feel like they are making progress. Player vs Player is always tricky business.

Thunderwing aimed his scrapmaker at Prowler. "I have you now." The barrels of the weapon began to spin and warm up...

From underneath the barrels he smiled and dived forewords and removed a thermo energon arrow and attempted to jam it between the barrels to jar the spin up, as he would do so he'd spin around in a pirouette of thermo energon whip fury and attempt to get a swipe of his whip at the optics of Thunderwing, if he was to die he'd go down fighting. He also in the act would be attempting to get inside his weapon's range
