ya know.........I was thinking that SAME exact thing. I am used to Easter being in April. HA was telling me that last payday we had to buy easter stuff and I argued with him no, that Easter wasn't until April that we could get it the next payday and then my landlord calls me last night and tells me Happy Easter and I said, it's not even close to easter and she tells me it's sunday and I look on the calendar and low and behold crap happy it is!!! So now, here I am down to my last 60 bucks gotta go out and get the girls easter stuff. I spent $43.00!! I'm lucky to have gas money left now. But anyway, slowly drifting away from the topic at hand here. lol......... That last I knew, Easter was on April 16 or 15 or something like that. I'm just as confoosed as you Bartman!

All i know is the kids are on holidays for 2 weeks for Easter here in the UK right now. Don't know why, can't explain it..
All i do know that on my birthday yesterday it was good friday already and is bank holiday monday on (funnily enough) this coming monday, and i have a 4 day weekend - yay! Also keep hearing rumours that the clocks are going either back, or forward tonight in the UK, haven't found out which though.

We're all used to it being the second Sunday in April. Maybe we're all in some sort of alternet universe and they're trying to screw wth us.

It just depends how the calendar year falls. It has been in March before.

[glow=blue,2,300]I'm sure Jinx would have a better knowledge of this, but IIRC, it has to do with the Christian festivals and the way the Church marks them. For example at my local Anglican Church they will tell you it's been so many sundays since Lent or the second sunday of Advent or whathaveyou. As this is done on a timescla which doesn't necessarily tie in with the Gregorian Calendar Easter can jump around depending upon when Lent etc occur.
I don't entirely get it myself as Christmas is a set day, but I think thats the rationale. Pretty much all countries that celebrate Easter follow the religious procession of time on the matter. In the UK for example we celebrate Easter along with every one else but there's a statute from the 1920's which allows the government to set a fixed date for Easter. However, as the statute allows the Government to decide when to implement this, it's never taken effect - no Govt has wanted to wind up so many Christian voters in one go. Especially as our elections are often called in mid to late spring!
NB: Hoist, we're now in British Summer Time, not Greenwich Mean Time. Clocks go forward one hour. Easy way to remember which way is this phrase: Spring forward, Fall (autumn) back[/glow]

easter is in march some years, april in other. i dont understand it either and im a christian but i guess its just something that happenes. mabey they take the celender from the year jesus died and see what day it was by matching the days together. clenders change every year and day of mouths fall on different days then the year befor so they put it on a certain number of days or something.

Actually, how they determine the day easter falls on is they take the First day of spring and then the FIRST full moon following the first day of spring and Easter is on the coming sunday. So, the first day of Spring was Sunday the 20th and the first full moon was Friday the 25th and the following sunday is today.
So Easter ONLY falls anywhere from the end of March to the end of April. It just depends when the first full moon after the first day of spring appears.

Well, me and Aron didn't get any eggs. The girls on the other hand, they got a butt load. At least 50 eggs. (plastic, mind you) Filled with candy galore. They got enough candy to last them til next easter. ;D And Kayla got 4 Big Eggs filled with miniature Care Bears. I of course, bought myself one because they had one in Purple.
