Crazy thing is I liked all the building up of my assassin's skills and the restoration of my villa in the second one and of Rome in the third.

A friend showed me a game in steam that might interest me, a Mysterious Cities Of Gold game. I guess with a new series in January this year, after all they years, they want to cash in and make sure of it's longevity. Being a massive fan, even with no review, there was no doubt I was going to pass this over. Brought it on Steam the following morning. Only played a little bit but it seems fun, you can play as Esteban, Tao or Zia and interchange between them to work out the various puzzles.

Playing an early access game called Starbound. Basically, it is Terraria, but with space travel, and an infinite amount of procedurally generated worlds. I was seriously addicted to Terraria when it came out, and played 135 hours of it. Can definitely see myself sinking as much, if not more into Starbound.

Playing an early access game called Starbound. Basically, it is Terraria, but with space travel. You'll have to let me know how much space travel is a part of the game? I watched the trailer and it looked very much like a Terraria clone. I would say homage, and not clone. Clone is such a negative these days. Basically, you have a ship that is in orbit over the planet, that you can beam between. Your ship is your safe zone. The space travel part of it is basically just that, travel. You interact with the pilot chair, which brings up a navigation console that zooms out to basically an infinite number of star systems to warp to. Planets function primarily like biomes in Terraria. On the very first planet I started on, well I guess technically it is a moon, I found a big research facility guarded by hostile cyborgs that extended deep underground. Second planet I went to, which was simply the one my first location orbited, was covered in snow, and you would freeze to death in a few minutes. But, by crafting some snow gear, looking like it came right out of Episode 5, I could navigate it without worrying about freezing. On that planet, I found an airship at anchor, full of pirates. Each planet has a danger rating, as well, and so far I've only tackled a level 1 and level 3 planet. Things I like better about it than Terraria already: - Friendlier resolution for large monitors
- Mine 6 blocks at a time
- Large amount of random generated content
- story
- Tons of unique loot
- large assortment of enemies with different attack types
- more organized crafting menus
- Travel in one direction long enough, you eventually come back from the other side
- Left click places blocks in foreground, Right in background
- Can place platforms/torches on any background
That's just so far. I just beat my first boss fight, which has opened up a ton of new content to craft like my own robot, or spawners to populate my home with villagers and guards that apparently help you out but I'm not sure to what extent.

After attempting to depopulate Renaissance era Rome in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, I've moved onto something a little more old school. Been playing The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages on my old GBC. AAARRRGGGHHH, THE HAND CRAMP! How I managed to spend my childhood playing that thing, I do not know.

Well, it was much larger when you were much smaller. That tends to help.

Mmmm yeah, was looking at Starbound. Nice idea! Thinking about it. Your experience with it sure makes it more tempting...
Infamously wonderful Steam Sales, got myself Terraria and it. Is. So. Much. Fun. Also Stanley Parable and a cute not very indepth game called Reus. Got that new Lara Croft from a while back for Christmas and I want to see if I can find Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron cause I never did manage to get that. Into Minecraft again with vengeance. Who knew all I needed was a change of texture pack. XD

Bought some games over December and the Steam Sale:
DayZ The Walking Dead Season 2 The Wolf Among Us Alice: Madness Returns Dishonored Metro: Last Light
Played through the main story of Metro: Last Light, and played the first Episodes of The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead season 2 (because it is all that is out so far). Metro is great. Loved the first, and the second is much better in many ways. Playing the DLC right now. The Wolf Among Us and TWD Season 2 are both really good. I was especially surprised by The Wolf Among Us. I bought it because I liked Telltales TWD season 1 and the first episode of season 2, and everyone was saying that TWAU was really good. Thought the concept was pretty dumb, but bit since it was on sale. Was skeptical for the first few minute but man did it intrigue me and draw me in quick. Really good. Mich actually be looking forward to episode 2 of TWAU more than TWD season 2 episode 2.
Started playing Dishonored and Alice, but got sidetracked by the other games.
