My 93 year old Grandfather Richard Creedan Brownell died this past Saturday morning at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born in August 7, 1919, he married his sweetheart Betty Loebs in February 11, 1942, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He served in the military as a Navy, Marine and Army officer during World War 2 and in Korea War, before he came home to help his wife Betty and his mother Louise, raise their three sons Richard, Herbert and Robert. He became the Mayor of Pomona, California and served two terms before he moved onto become a councilmember and then later retired to live out his years traveling America and the world. He is survived by his wife Betty, his three sons, his three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He joins in Heaven, his grandson David Henry Stuart Brownell, his daughter-in-law Janet Bunker Brownell and his parents. Military services will be held this weekend with a 21 gun salute with three blasts from a canon with taps being played. This was expected but not this soon. This was another reason for my absence from the board, I've been grieving the loss of my mother and now I have to add this to it. This is the Year of Tears for our family. Beth Attachments:

My condoloenses to you and your family Beth. 93 is a very good age and sounds like he accomplished a hell of a lot in that life time. =)

Christ, man, Jinx is better at this than me... I'll do my best. He sounds like an incredible man, Beth. 93 is a ripe old age, and he sounds as if he did an awful lot with his life, so please try and celebrate him, and be happy for the fact he happened, rather than being sad he's gone. Obviously I'm so sorry to hear he's passed on- it can't be easy on you, a year like you've had. All I can say is that things will get better- pain can be overcome, and it will. If ever you need any of us, you know we're right here.
