I'm not sure how this cropped up in my mind really, but \I was wondering what everyone's favourite G1 cassette was? Mainly cons as they were mostly cons, or perhaps it is is of Blaster's Autobot cassettes? I think because of the G1 cartoon Rumble will alway be my favourite, as I've said many time before - because of the voice actor he always came off as a little "from the bronx" to me Plus I think he's just that bit cooler than Frenzy. My second choice would be rave,, and this goes because of both the cartoon and the comics I think in some early comics he did actually talk, or it was a mixture of that and thought bubbles, but it showed him to be quite smart, although I can't remember what his tech spec for that trait is. Third place it's special mentions for Laserbeak because of his relationship with Megatron and Soundwave. I think it might have been in a comic (The original Marvel ones) where Laserbeak flew towards a Galavtron from the future and Galavatron said something like "Ah laserbeak, appearances can be deceptive, but not to some eh?", (Or words to that effect), and I thought that was so clever, both on one level ad how that loyalty never changed despite a new body and persona. So who's your favourite cassette from G1?

Rumble.
Lots of personality, grumpy, spunky, mouthy and all around punk. The original show really defined him. Frenzy was pretty much just a copy of him, but I think he was actually brighter. Its all about Rumble.
Ravage, Laserbeak and Buzzsaw are cool, and I'd put Ratbat at 2nd cause he's a little guy with brains, but Rumble is way more fun.
As for the Autobot cassettes, Ramhorn. Cause he has a worse attitude then Rumble. When I role play him I make him talk, he didn't talk much in the show and came off stupid. In the comic, actually I don't recall him in the comics at all. But I love Ramhorn, super grumpy bad ass!

Can I say Ravage on the basis of Beast Wars On a technicality, seeing as it was meant to be the same Ravage. I do like how they kept his original cassette mode and transformation sound. Wasn't Beast Wars supposed to be set 300 years after G1 though, or whilst the ark (Using the BW series) was still buried on earth. Wouldn't Ravage have been on board in stasis though, or diod I miss something. Long time since I watched Beast wars though. As for the Autobot cassettes, Ramhorn. But I love Ramhorn, super grumpy bad ass! When he did speak though he had a bad attitude? Or just stupid? Or both? Don't really remember much about him, but them I've still only seen a few episode of season 3, never right the way through.

In the show he spoke like any Transformer that turned in to an animal of some sort. He sounded dumb and his voice was rough. He did speak a few times though. Not sure if Steeljaw ever spoke.
Personally I think the 'animal' Transformers should speak. After all they are really robots and their tech specs give them serious military roles and even quotes!

The specific amount of years, I'm not sure. Well, at least the proper time they actually came from. They traveled back in time following Megatron through transwarp space. Ravage technically would have been in stasis on the Ark at the same time as he was present in the show. He was sent back in time using a transwarp cruiser to find Megatron.

Ooooh.... Rumble, definitely. He's a snarky little guy, but absolutely hilarious. Plus, he can cause tidal waves. With his hands. In a RIVER. I didn't even know that was scientifically possible. XD Second is Ravage. He's just unbelieveably badass. Managing what no other Decepticon manages (I THINK) in the entire series- infiltrating the Ark. And doing it within the first two episodes. Brilliant.

Plus in the first series, Rumble always seemed to keep b**ch-slapping Spike out the way! Or at least pushing him out the way, especially on that offshore oil platform!
