for Transformer movies?
As we know the last movie under Micheal Bay is about to be released, and love them or hate them, it marks the final Transformers film.
Quite a sobering thought, but Transformer always lives on reguardless or live movies, but it does beg the question: Should there be any more in the future? Maybe with a different director? If so what what you expect or like look wise/like plot wise? Maybe there shouldn't be any more live action movies?
What do you think?

I read somewhere that Spielberg was going to personally direct the next Transformers. But that might just be rumor.
But, I was listening to the Seibertron.com podcast and they brought up a good point. Right now, there are tons of fans, because every 2 years a live action movie comes out and gets them reinvigorated. Once the movies are gone, that large fan base Hasbro has gotten used to will dwindle back to the hardcore and the kids watching the cartoons (which apparently The Hub isn't doing too well). This could show a big slump in Transformers.

Very interesting topic. On one hand, I'd love to see the movies continue with a new director so that the fanbase can continue to grow. On the other had, absence makes the heart grow fonder, so a break could be good creatively speaking.
I guess it would also depend on whether or not the movie is a continuation of established "Bay"-dom or a reboot of the franchise (like is being discussed/decided for the Spider-Man films)...
Now that I think about it, a Beast Wars movie on the big screen would be pretty cool...

Would be, but will probably never happen. For some reason, Hasbro just doesn't seems to care about Beast Wars.

Personally I hope it's a reboot. Not because I hate the previous films but to hopefully see some characters that were killed off in the last three.

YEEEEEEEEESSSS!! *Pops party poppers and opens the champagne* FINALLY! I've gotta say, it is the Bay films that properly got me into Transformers (previously all I'd seen were Armada and the first series of G1). But since then, having soaked up all the rest of the fandom, the Bayverse just doesn't compare. He really belittled what has, at times, been much more than just a kid's show (in my opinion), and just made it feel vulgar, idiotic, and, at times, mildly racist. So yay for the end of Bay era! Here's to whatever comes next!
