What do you think of with regard to how current things are with the toy line? TF: Prime: Beast Hunters are warming the shelves until the movie toys take over next year, we're still getting some nice generations toys (Generations Metroplex, springer, sandstorm, waspinator, Rhinox) as well as repaints/re-tools of various lines - Sharkticon Megatron, Doubledealer (Generations Blitzwing) etc. On the other hand it also says something when alot of tf toy news these days are 3rd party products (Admittedly very nice), and kreo and/or construct bots. So how do you think we are doing interms of TF toys and how do you think the future will pan out with them/ (Bar movie toys dominating shelves again next year onwards, obviously.) Are you happy with the way things are going/ What's good, what's bad in your opinion?

There haven't been too many figures released recently that have interested me greatly. There's been a few Generations figures that I want to get, and the three I already have (Deluxe Megatron, Springer and Sandstorm) and very impressive, although we here in the UK got stiffed with Megatron and didn't get Spotlight: Megatron with it.
I'm not particularly looking forward to any of the Movie figures that will surely be released (Yay, another 50 Bumblebee figures(!)). I've only got two movie-verse figures, and only one of them I bought myself. They just don't seem to have anything that grabs me. The figures from the first movie had the auto-morph gimmick which just had bits moving as your transformed them. The figures from ROTF had the mech-alive gimmick which was spinning gears and stuff, that one was horribly tacked on. ROTF Mixmaster's 'spinning gears' were just the front wheels from his alt mode. Then there is DOTM's gimmick, mechtech weapons. The vast majority of them look oversized and silly. The only one that worked was Shockwave's. I dread to think what they come up with for TF4.

I personally wont be buying any of the movie line. I'm a Generation man and am buying Dr.Wu stuff to make my Seekers better. Don't have any Prime stuff.

I only got a small few movie toys of deluxe upwards size, mainly the little scouts as I loved them. Hardly have any Prime toys, no beast Hunters as I still haven't seen the third season yet.
Anyone have any characters they'd like to see get a generations toy?

I'd like to see the rest of the G1 triplechangers get a figure. Astrotrain and Octane got figures back in the Classics line I think, but Broadside hasn't had an official one since G1.

Beast Hunters had some decent figure, but the designs never show up in the show. Only Beast Hunters figures I have bought are Smokescreen and Shockwave, because their 'armor' was detachable so they can look normal with the Prime figures. Still want to get Prime, Predaking, Grimwing and Skylynx because they were actually in the show.
The Generations stuff has been good. Maybe a bit smaller than they used to be, but designed for collectors. Can't wait for Waspinator and Rhinox.
As for Kre-O, I quite like the Kreon Microchanger line. Never got into the big sets, but these little guys are fun, and take up very little space.
I like the idea of the Construct-Bots, and if I were still a kid I would have been all over these things, more than anythings out right now. I loved Bionicle, and always tried to make Transformers out of them. This is essentially was they are. I most likely wont buy any though.

As for the Generations figures I'd like to see, well, if Rhinox and Waspinator do well, I'd love to see Primal and Megatron get a new, voyager figure. A deluxe Terrorsaur would be awesome, as well as a deluxe Airazor that pulls of a much more feminine look. Wouldn't mind if they redid Cheetor because his Universe 2.0 figure sucked, and I wouldn't be apposed to them doing a voyager Dinobot, being he was one of the larger BW characters, though his Universe 2.0 figure wasn't bad. A deluxe Tigatron that was it's own mold would be cool, because while they shared the same animation model in robot mode, Cheetor and Tigatron are very different in their respective animal forms, and you can't just paint stripes on a cheetah and call it a tiger. Tarantulas and Blackarachnia getting their own molds would be awesome too. Basically, if they gave me the entire cast of BW, I'd be happy. BW 20th is right around the corner.
I'd say Rattrap, but he has supposedly been seen in Walmart computers, and has been in a recent IDW comic meaning they could pack him with a comic, so I think it is likely he is already in the works.
Skybite is also supposed to be coming out, having also recently appeared in Walmart computers and an IDW comic.

My only worry with the Construct-Bots, is that - I realize they're for very small children, I just worry they'll think that what Transformers are. Build sets you put together.
More Beast Wars generations would be great, I'd also like them to keep doing more G1. It's been years since classics so they could improve on ones like Mirage and I wouldn't mind seeing Sunstreaker, Hound and some of the others.
