As with the Battle SIMM The next step to roleplay was to create the characters. Very rarely an RP might have it's own character creation, but for the most we had one main guide which was continually developed and evolved over time by Laytrx7, with contributions by myself and later Onix who became part of the crew specializing in weapons creative content.
All though we no longer offer role-play, all you need to know about creating characters (Like for the Battle SIMM) and for general fun character creation purposes; can be found in the stickied thread: Here, in our Vector Sigma forum.
This thread will tell you the basic profile template, points and what weapons and functions are available. Everything you need to know about creating a character. Each character you created had a set amount of points set aside (Same for everyone), these were divided into points for the characters size class, weapons and equipment/abilities. Some size classes for smaller bots you might receive points but for larger bigger bots you would get more deducted. For tech specs strength was divided up depending on your size class and corresponding weight a character can lift over their head. Speed was divided into various alt modes own ranges whilst something like endurance; would also give you corresponding Melee Resistance, Projectile Resistance, Elemental Resistance, Energy Resistance and Explosive Resistance. all fr your technical capabilities spec below your tech spec. Fighting skill was also dived 1- 10, 10 being a war master with each level having a different Firearm Skill, Hand-to-hand Skill & Melee Skill from novice to intermediate to adept. Each level went from basic combat training up to advanced level and then with marksmanship & martial arts training at various levels the higher it went up.
For weapons you could have one primary weapon, heavy, and vehicle Mode weapon, typically you had 9 points to spend but this was also shared with equipment & abilities as well. Meele weapons replaced either Primary or Heavy Weapons and were for free as were their optional upgrades. for alternate mode weapons you could choose one for free based on your size class and/or what you turn in to.
