I think you're right, it does give the film more time at least not to be rushed. However, if it does come out around the same time as Avatar 2 then that will absolutely kill it and possible future movies. It's happened before with other movies that are popular now, but at the time didn't do massivley because something else huge came out at the time and it got trounced, giving the impression film X did poorley at the box office when in fact it was just unable to compete with something else. And that worries me if that were to happen as the last thing we want is it to be seen as a "Commercial failure" otherwise that could spell the end for future movies.  |

I don't think Avatar 2 will do anything to hurt TFROTB. There isn't much of a Avatar fandom. They didn't do anything in terms of a follow up after the movie came out. There's no franchise really. And with mixed views on the TF movies, I think it will do ok. Just my 2 cents.

Praying that Avatar 2 doesn't kill it buddy. I'm sure that Paramount will have some sense and not release it in December of 2022. Lets hope not anyway! |

Another thing is, I think Beast War fans are more passionate about BW then Avatar fans are about Avatar. BW fans are STILL crazy for the show. And even after the hit and miss success of Beast Machines and having to endure the lasting impressions and influence of G1 on almost every TF series still Bfs return in the early 2000s. That being said, it depends how TFROTB looks. I mean if they don't pull it off then its a miss. But they should take the chance since it's something different. |
