I was watching the movie the other day and I remembered that the UK version has been changed from GI Joe to 'Action Force'. They've also changted the theme music from "Real American heroes, GI Joe are there" to "International Heroes, Action Force are there". Now I know this was done in the interest of appeasing the viewing public but HONESTLY. There are 5 english people in it that I can count, all of whom work for Cobra (I'm not great on names so The Twins, The dude with the red beard, the guy with long brown hair and the black Ultimate Warrior looking face paint and the blonde guy with the glasses and a ponytail). Surely the English and other countries that viewed this programme would care less if their nations weren't represented in it rather at all than having their nations only ambassadors as terrorists against democracy. Kind of futile but it pissed me off that the producers thought we would care that much

I know the english make great bad guys and all but why change the name and theme of the programme if the good guys are still all going to be american (Apart from Snake Eyes who is as we all know part pirate part badass)

[glow=blue,2,000]I totally see your point, but I guess, if the producers, writers and the creators all looked at it and said, 'Ok, this is about america against terrorists. We can't use stereo types or we'll get in trouble with this being a kids show, so let use ppl who aren't known as terrorists?'
Then again I could be wrong since I wouldn't know of any english terrorists if they exsisted. Then again, their not the first thing that jumps into my thoughts when I hear the word.[/glow]

Yep, the English are typical bad guys; Darth, Palpatine, Sheriff of Nottingham, Serpentor and the entire Cobra organisation, Megatron (ALL of them). The list is endless ;D

I've never actually met a polite French person, which is weird because I didn't actually expect the stereotype to be true
