[shadow=blue,left,300]I'm sorry, but no amount of hypnotism could cure me of my fears. There is NO way, NO how I will put a spider in my hand. I don't care how big or small it is. They are creapy and freaky and NOTHING is going to change that.[/shadow]

The closest I ever got to getting over my fear was poking a really big one with a stick. Usually when I did that I would drop the stick and wipe my hands off almost obsessively. But that time it was on a web in front of the house. It was a big one, too. Big, fat and hairy. I picked up a stick and started poking it while it was in the middle of it's web. I got it on the belly and ass a few times. It occasionally shifted, but otherwise didn't bother to do anything. lol.

Damn, that's quite an accomplishment. I wouldn't be able to bother with catching it. I'd use a whole lot of raid...and even then I wouldn't be able to help but run into the next room even when it was laying on the ground twitching.
There was once a massive spider in my kitchen. I was doing the dishes and I didn't even notice it. What was freaky about that, is that the not noticing included when it was making a web right behind AND on me. It was then up on the wall when I turned around and realized I had a whole bunch of web attached to me. I looked up and saw it and ran out of the room, doing a stupid little dance while trying to brush all the web off.

[glow=blue,2,000]To what Rainy just said, I can't kill insects unless there in my house. I mean, why kill them, cause there small. I'll deal with them if there in my house, they way I see it, thats my hive. If I was in there hive then they attack me. I'd be concerned about the food in my place and all. Thats especial goes for mice. Oh..... so who's scared of mice?[/glow]

I'm not scared of mice... <.< >.>
Kinda funny, isn't it? I'm deathly afraid of spiders, but I've never once been afraid of a mouse. Hard to believe really, but I once had a rat and five mice for pets. The rat's name was herby. ^-^ Black and white, absolutely adorable. He used to sit on my shoulder and drape his tail over it all the time.

when there is a spider outside... as long as it isn't crawling on me... I'm ok with them... I'll even go so far as to watch them for a long while as they build a web, or as the babies try to take flight.....
however... if they are in my house... I scream... and throw shoes at them... then just before pa$$ing out ... have my husband kill them for me... if he's not at home... I'm hooped .... well not really... I get wads of tissue and try to collect it and then I flush it down the toilet
