Or if this damn monolith does anything out of the ordinary.' The monolith was still bothering Grunt. He didn't like the fact that it could be alive or had some sort of power.

Reaper soared high above the ground. He was able to provide Torrent with information about the terrain up ahead as needed.

The forests, from Reaper's perspective, was stunning. It stretched almost to the horizon, and from Reaper's elevation, that was simply spectacular. He didn't imagine Torrent shared his thoughts on it though.

Reaper and Torrent reached the outskirts of the valley of the trees, an area they'd need to pass through to get to the forest...

'Go ahead mister "Do what I only have to do", knock yourself out." Grunt scanning abilities was limited, especially compared to a security officer and a scout's own. Besides, he wasn't about to get much close to that thing after what Dinoboss said about it.

Dinoboss transformed and felt the ridges where he assumed a door was. He took out a scanner and tried to get some better sans.

Beginning to feel some concern for his comrades, Grunt activates his comlink and sends three clicks to Torret and Reaper to receive an update and to make sure that they still had radio contact.

For the moment, Grunt received no kind or signal back over his comms. Dinoboss also got the same result as before on his new scan.
Around the obelisk, Glitch temporarily transformed to robot mode with a growl. "Have you actually tried getting into it instead of just scanning it?!", asked the bot impatienhtly, "Scan it twice you might get something different, scan it again and again and again and you're likely to just get the same answer! Let's just blow this thing open already!!"
"We don't even know what it's made of!", added Metalingus, trying to cut Glitch off in mid-rant. "Is there anything you haven't tried or thought of Dinoboss?"

Dinoboss shook his head
"Yeah Glitch, lets blow our way into the structure that is giving off weird energy reading. For all we know this thing is stuffed full of raw energon and we would blow ourselves to slag."
Dinoboss turned his attention to Metalingus
"I found what may be an outline of a door or entrance but damned if I can figure out how to get it open. The scan's came back the same. Any suggestions that don't involve the possibility of slagging us all with it are appreciated."

Grunt didn't want to get close to the Monolith, however, 'Me and you are the strongest out the bunch, Dinoboss. What say we try to pull it open? While we do that keep monitoring its energy levels so we don't set it off.'

Grunt looked at everyone. 'Come on then, prove that you use a useful function! Lets find some strong enough to get this thing open.' Grunt looked around for something made of metal.

OOC: Fraid not, not in a deserted graveyard. There is any easy way to this, but none of you have really thought of it yet  Glitch transformed back and started padding around the graveyard mumbling something about - Wishing he had gone with Torrent and Reaper... As he slowly started to wonder round he began to notice something.. "Don't you lot all find it odd that everyone died on the same day?", snarled Glitch out loud, "Look at these headstones, all the dates of the time they died are the same!" |
