 Approaching the Crystal Caverns, both Scathe and Gorgon had now joined their commander, Lord Triton, The Destron Street Assault Team and Quickchange on the bridge, the ship having just landed at the barren yellow and scorched land. And land where the ground was very dry and cracked, flanked by trees to the west and surrounded by a great ocean to the east and the south. As the boarding ramp landed and extended they saw the cave, s strange sparkle emanating from it's mouth, not just one but many. For once Rampart was true to his word. |

Gorgon stepped out of the ship. He let out a low rumble as he saw the entrance to the cave. He liked it. Very pleasing to the optics. Not that he'd ever say that out loud. In truth, he rather liked the planet they were on. It was visually pleasing to Gorgon. He liked things of beauty, it made it so much more satisfying to destroy them.

As they walked to the mouth of the tunnels, the whole of the inside glistened from tiny encrusted crystals embedded deep in the cave walls as far back as they could see into blackness, even in the black void of where the cave might end there were feint glows.
Although it was only a short walk to the cave mouth, Quickchange was in his beast mode whilst everyone else seemed to bee in their robot mode. Once inside the cave Triton figured it would shield them too much from whatever was inside...
"Do we know it's safe?", asked Scathe, "There might be some alien monster living in there!"
"Then we shall cut it down and feast on it's entrails!", remarked Duel
"Your one sick puppy boss-bot!", replied Roadranger

"Snivelling cowards!", spat Triton and marched on into the mouth of the Cave, followed by Quickchange who reverted to robot mode. As they travelled down the dark, mysterious corridor, only light by the sparkle of the crystals embedded in the wall.
"Wait I'm picking up something!", reported Quickchange who quickly reverted back to his alt mode, "Yes I see it now! I couldn't in robot mode, but my extra sensitive visual mode from my beast mode shows it as clear as day!"
[color=Green]"What are you blathering about Quickchange?!"[/color], muttered Triton.
"Trails in the cave floor! Or rather one trail, but made by two objects, one of them a beast! Yes, I see the footprints now, almost as if it was dragging something behind it.! I dunno, there's something familiar about this place..."
"Could the Cybertrons have been here before?"
"Who can say?!"
"What CAN you say?", interjected Duel, but the smaller Destron just shrugged.
"It may have just been a local beast or wild creature"
"Let's move on!", ordered Triton, and with that they continued down the cave. After a fair walk they could finally see a feint hazy light at the end of the tunnel which opened out into the middle. Once again the crystals glistened as they were embedded in the walls. "If Only we had a Destron scientist..." muttered Triton but his words were cut off when they all saw to one side on the right a giant super computer, much like the one on the moon. Only this one was in much worse condition and amongst a circle on ancient stones.. "OH YES! The Glory of The Destron Empire has beseiged us! From this glorious beginning we can built an entire army and fortress to go with it!"
"We will need supplies Lord Triton..."
"Yes, yes. And so it shall be! Quickchange, stay here and help me with this machine. The rest of you return to the forest where we fought the Cybertrons. Plunder, pillage, cut down everything and bring it back here to be converted! This is Where our new empire begins and where the end of the Cybertronians shall finally bare witness!"

Gorgon grinned and transformed, heading out of the caves and towards the forest. He'd enjoyed blasting it apart when he'd chanced the two Cybertrons, and he'd enjoy causing more destruction there again.

Well Quickchange?...
"It's a bit damaged and some parts will need replacing but it will work, although it will need a significant amount of energy to get it going", reported the Destron.
"Use something non-vital from the ship that you can make an energy transfer from, say the CR chambers..."
But Lord Triton! What about Rampart!

Just DO IT Quickchange!! Less you want to be next in line for the great All Spark!
Quickchange sighed and transformed before leaving the cave for the ship. "One live for many, or at least mine. Everyone has to pay a price my dear Rampart!"
